I believe the personal Christian testimonies of both Ted and his father are on the Internet. They are Southern Baptists.
Interesting
Here we go again, not his personal witness but ‘seeing God at work in his family, in other words his father’s salvation, not his own: Ted Cruz launched his campaign at Liberty University, Virginia, said to be the world’s largest Christian university. It’s safe to say he is gunning for the Christian vote. At the event he spoke of the “transformative love of Christ” that he has witnessed at work in his family, and kicked off his campaign with the rallying cry: “God’s not done with America yet”.
Don’t misunderstand me, I’d love to be proven wrong and hear a testimony from Ted about his own, personal repentance, faith, and salvation experience, and the work of Christ in his life.
My feelings, too, Old Marine. I clicked the link, thinking I’d be reading TED’s testimony; not his Dad’s. God doesn’t have any grandchildren. When and where was Ted born again? And while we’re at it, what’s the wife’s testimony? When did SHE give her heart to Jesus? She’s a big Wall St. wheeler-dealer. Does SHE know the Lord?
Reaching into the dregs at the bottom of the barrel, aren’t you? Glad to see you consider a felon, who was jailed for accounting irregularities and fraud as your AUTHORITY on Ted Cruz’ Christianity. Jim Bakker also paid hush money to a woman he had raped. Well, when he was in the slammer he was a cell-mate of Lyndon LaRouche which may have also put his reputation up a notch in your mind. Nice character reference you bring here.
Or maybe you’re just trying to rationalize the fact that the guy you support said something stupid.
I believe the most religious are the least tolerant. We shall see.
Here is the answer to one of my questions, anyway:
‘In a slightly halting tone and brushing his eyes, Senator Cruz said “Brother Wiley baptized me at eight years old when I was a Christian, so I am really glad to be here in Tennessee.”’
All “Surging Ted” has to do is figure out who he will stab in the back. Will he stab his pro-amnesty friends at the Club For Growth who gave him $705,000; or his anti-amnesty friends at Wallbuilder?
Then he can decide if wants to keep Warren Buffet’s money even though he also donated to READY FOR HILLARY. What’s that all about?
So the Donald, who sort of thinks he is Presbyterian, or was the last time he went to church 40 years ago, who managed to remember something about crackers for communion, and who was pro-abortion until about 15 minutes ago, is now administering religious tests? And if questioned, he will respond with a shrug, a harumpf, an insult, and a change of subject. And his supporters think this is great smash mouth politics. Harumpf.
So another Trump slur is working.
You can’t take Cruz’s word or better you can’t tell by his life and actions. Just vote Trump.
Yes, Ted’s testimony is on the internet, was featured in a well-done ad not long ago right here on Freerepublic. The Donald is not born again, if that is of any interest to you. He stated that he feels he has never needed to ask God forgiveness for anything, a first step in salvation. He is a Presbyterian, but that just means that is his church association. That doesn’t even tell us that he is a member anywhere, attends regularly or not, etc. I think, if I remember correctly, Ted became a believer at the age of 8, and the reason it sticks with me is that I also became a believer at that age.
This is effing despicable. Donald Trump needs to look to his own supposed Christianity before he dares question anyone else’s. What has Donald Trump ever done to convince any rational person that he is a follower of Christ? His actions, his manners, his own personal words speak against any such belief in Christ. Few evangelicals may come out of Cuba, but I am willing to bet that even fewer come out of the NY business world. It is hard for the rich man to make it to heaven, after all. This is a stupid, cheap shot at Cruz. Trump can’t even attack political issues instead of personal ones. That is so amateurish and puerile.
One thing to remember is that doing a google search is not going to find anything positive about republicans, especially born-again ones. If you recall, at the beginning of 2015 google agreed with the Obama regime to fact-check and only post what was deemed correct by the Obama regime. You will probably have to search another site for the truth.
I am deeply concerned about those who would take the word of someone like Jim Bakker (really?) as their source of truth about Ted Cruz. Those who listen to TBN for their news are getting distorted news, not to mention biblical teaching. The church today is being deceived and those perpetrating the deception are deceived themselves. I listened to Jacob Prasch last night on youtube, His article on deception in the church is a MUST listen. I pray hat MANY will take the time to listen. If you want to be deceived, God will eventually turn you over to the deception so that you cannot believe that Truth any longer, as He did with Pharaoh, etc. Here is the link.

An article from American Thinker: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/12/how_many_evangelicals_come_from_trump_tower.html
While it doesn’t answer the question, it does raise the obvious question about Donald Trump’s Christian credos.
See the article:
Sen. Ted Cruz talks faith on 700 Club: Avoid being a Pharisee Published: February 20, 2013 12:08 pm.
You’ll have your “personal testimony” request more than satisfied.
and you’re doing this in support of a man who has never even claimed salvation, never even admitted that there is such a thing - a man hiding in the pews of the very liberal PC USA for decades, if attending at all.
Wow, hypocrisy unreal....
The writer fails to mention that if he failed to hear Cruz' personal testimony, he'd best not go to Trump for his answer as to whether or not Christians came out of Cuba - Trump wouldn't know what a Christian is, as he's never had that experience himself. Trump believes in himself, in his fortune, in his own power of persuasion, not in our Lord Jesus Christ!
I, like Mr. Trump, came out of a Presbyterian background and I can assure everyone reading this, I never once heard the call to come to Christ ever spoken from that pulpit! It might have been at one time but that was before WWII as those church leaders no longer accept the divinity of Christ, His Virgin birth nor His physical resurrection!
I like Mr. Trump only heard platitudes and believed that my "good deeds" out weighed the bad ones, and hopefully that was enough to get me into heaven. I knew I had broken none or almost none of the Ten Commandments, so I probably qualified as a pretty good person.
No, Mr. Trump has no idea as to whether any Christian came out of Cuba or anywhere else, as he doesn't have a grasp as to what that word actually means!
I'm not anti-Trump, I'm just admitting that he lacks the knowledge of true Christianity.
As we're not voting for national pastor, I suppose it doesn't matter, even to many here but I for one, would like to have the opportunity to vote for someone who actually believed in God, but also in our Constitution, which is founded on godly principles!
