Cruz on DAY ONE: 'Rescind every single illegal, unconstitutional' Obama action
Washington Examiner ^ | 12/28/15 | Paul Bedard

Posted on 12/28/2015 7:42:46 AM PST by Isara

Surging Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz is laying out what would be the most aggressive first day in office every for a new president, starting with the elimination of "every single illegal and unconstitutional" executive action taken by President Obama.

In an epilogue to his father Rafael Cruz's upcoming autobiography, the Texas senator also said that he would rip up Obama's controversial deal with Iran, open an investigation into Planned Parenthood's abortion practice, end the IRS's "persecution of religious liberty," and shift the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

"All of that is on day one. It is an example of how quickly things can change," Cruz penned in his father's revealing personal story, A Time for Action, published by WND Books. The book's release date is January 5, but it is available on Amazon now.

"The left, and the media (who are in cahoots), try to convince us that nothing can change. They want us to give up. But strong presidential leadership, backed by the American people, can usher in dramatic change," wrote Cruz.

His day one five-point agenda goes much further than past presidents have been able to achieve and gives an indication of how swiftly he hopes to begin unraveling the Obama presidency.

Cruz also presented his short term plan to go even further by repealing Obamacare, expanding school choice, moving to "rebuild our military," doing more to reform the Veterans Administration, taking on ISIS with greater force and securing the border and ending the sanctuary city system that lets cities get away with harboring illegal immigrants wanted by federal authorities.

"Our country is in crisis," wrote Cruz. "I am convinced, it is now or never. There comes a point where the hole is too deep, the debt is too great, our liberties are too receded, and there is not going back," he added.

His Cuban-born father has been a star on the campaign trail for his own story of fighting Cuban authorities, coming to the United States where he discovered the American Dream and eventually becoming a born-again pastor.

Rafael Cruz has also become a voice for evangelical leaders seeking to stir the flock enough to get them to vote, noting at the end of his book that 54 million didn't vote in 2012. "Imaging if those people registered and voted," he wrote.

I like it, although my Congressman (in fact the whole Wisconsin delegation) will say that it can’t be done!

Day two - open a racketeering investigation into CAIR, and publicize their special deals with the Obama DOJ

That may take longer than Day One, because that Communist president will issue at least one of those a day during the last year of his reign.

All very good Ted, now promise to deport all illegal aliens and their anchor babies, and put a ban on all Muslims from entering country.

To borrow a phrase from the Democrats...

It would be historic!

Go Cruz. A real conservative who never donated to the Clintons and never praised them, like Trump.

There is nothing there that can't be done by someone willing to try.

Anyone that fully intends to put the Constitution back front and center against federal acts and fully intends to cut the unconstitutional portions of the federal government (probably about $3-trillion worth, most of the cabinet, and a few-hundred-thousand-government-jobs worth) has my full support.

No it won't. Executive orders are numbered. All President Cruz needs to do is issue his first Executive Order that says "EOs (enter the number of Obama's first order) through (enter the number of Obama's last order) are hereby repealed." Job done.

Reinstating the Constitution, the only legal bulwark of political freedom against tyranny, as the Supreme Law of the Land against the feds not only can be done it MUST be done.

How many said the tiny colonists couldn’t even begin to win a war against the mightiest military power in the world, England. Thee will ALWAYS be nay-sayers.

The fight for freedom never ends and is worth everything because freedom is worth more than life itself. What is life without freedom? It’s doing time as a government slave until you die.

Easy. Issue One EO.

“I I hereby rescind every EO from the moment of the election of Barack Obama and will fire anyone acting to preserve them in violation of this EO.”

Trump can't do this because it would be dictatorial however, Ted can. Got it.

Why can’t Trump reinstate the Constitution and put in front and center against the feds? He absolutely should do that.

Not really. The papers can be ready in advance. After swearing in he goes back to the Oval Office and signs them within one hour of being sworn in.

By the end of the week Cruz’s supporters will also promise that he is to repeal social security, Medicare, Obamacare, all welfare, and return us to the gold standard plus disband half of the cabinet on day one.....all by EO!

Day two - open a racketeering investigation into CAIR, and publicize their special deals with the Obama DOJ

Day three -- arrest Lois Lerner. Prosecute anyone involved in weaponizing the IRS.
