CNN's Ana Navarro predicted this morning that if Donald Trump actually becomes the Republican nominee, there will be plenty of GOP candidates who won't dare come anywhere near the 2016 convention.
On State of the Union, Jake Tapper brought up the issue of the conventions and what might happen if Trump actually wins the primaries. Navarro, a Jeb Bush supporter, said there will be "a bunch of unusual suspects at the convention if it ends up being Donald Trump."
"A Donald Trump nomination would be very bad for some of the senators," Navarro said, "folks running statewide in some of the purple and blue states... I'm not sure how much of the traditional Republican mainstream usual suspects who go to a convention you would see if that;s the case."
And in case that wasn't clear enough already, she said elected Republicans will be "running away from our nominee."

Best news I’ve heard in a long time. Who needs the GOPe losers at the Convention? They will be like a wet blanket.
Yeah, because it’s not like Trump garners many crowd numbers. /s
If they want to desert the GOP nominee, I will be voting against them in November.
Please someone, post “Well . . . bye!” Maybe we’ll have a convention that represents the voters then.
At least the GOPee’ers will know how conservatives have felt since 1988.
“If Trump Is Nominee, Doubtful Many ‘Mainstream’ GOPers Will Go to Convention”
Good. It will be more like one of his campaign events. Maybe even some of us unwashed can get in.
Nice!
You mean Trump only needs to win the nomination to send the RINO’s fleeing?
Just another reason to vote for him!
Those that go to his “little” fetes in the various States will be there - they are the only voice that is actually being heard....
Sounds like music, very sweet music to Hilliary and Bernie’s ears ... lookn’ up for one of them to be the next occupant of the WH.
If Trump wins the GOP nomination. Tickets will be as hard to come by
as Super Bowl tickets.
People will pay premium prices to attend, with or without the RINO’s.
Throwing Trump right into the briar patch.
Plus
Let the Whigs stay home.
So, she is saying that we can replace the “establishment” at the convention? - SWEET!
If the GOP House and Senate give Obama a rubber stamp this last year, I can guarantee the voters will stay home in droves.
Citizens are on to the game of “let-him-oppose-the-president-because-he’s-in-a-vulnerable-district” ploy, by the way. The right/left paradigm is over.
Of those elected and in Congress, cynicism, disdain and outright contempt for Americans is so visible at this point, the country will never be the same.
I just wish the democrats would wake up and see that Clinton and Sanders along with O’Malley are no different from Ryan and McConnell or Romney and McCain.
They are all beholden to interests that are not aligned with the good of the citizenry.
right now, heading to Southwest.com to Hopkins Airport. lol
I’d like to see even the establishment support the nominee, whether it is Trump or Cruz. However, I imagine a convention full of real, patriotic Americans will drive their message home even more strongly than the usual nonsense and drivel.
A convention without any Bushes, Doles, Rubios, Christies, or other insiders may be just what we need to motivate the disengaged populace to vote. If they do vote, the outsider nominee will win, and he will bring a whole flock of republicans with him to Congress. Hopefully, those politicians will follow the lead of the patriotic president we so desperately need.
This Navarro bitch needs to have her ass booted out of the Party.
