Winston Churchill wrote a book entitled “The River War: An Historical Account Of The Reconquest Of The Soudan†(1899). Churchill served in the British Army during this action, and his observations regarding Islam are interesting:
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities.
Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die: but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.
It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.
The non-Christian part of Western Civilization no longer values nor supports the Christian moral foundation of society. The same blindness that allows and even celebrates sexual perversion and the killing the unborn, likewise is bland to the obvious ultimate catastrophe of islam and its followers. It's all connected and has the same root, which is believing lies that are contrary to conscience.
A further challenge is that the Christian part of society is weak. It fails to hold fast to and promote its moral superiority. Instead of being an immovable source of righteousness, the Christian world tolerates and even supports worldly deceivers.
I read of Trump saying "I'll be the best friend the Christians ever had." If this is true in word and action, he may also be the best friend of Western civilization.
That was a great book. A minor war, but great writing. Remember “follow the biscuit”.

With Obama at the head of the most powerful nation on earth, along with wealth from Saudi Arabia, the forces of Islam view this as the time ripe for Islam to dominate the world.
So I don't think this will be a generational thing, or 100 year thing. I think it may well be an end of age thing! If so, immediately after, the world will be a very different place. And even if Islam itself is beaten back, I'm pretty sure we end up with one world order - except it will really be one world tyranny.
It ties back to Bible prophecy and Daniel's interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar's dream that ALL governments conceived by mankind (e.g. kingdoms, democracies, caliphs, or whatever) come to an abrupt end, followed by what's described as the 1,000 year reign of Christ.
John Quincy Adams wrote along these lines in the early 1800’s. They have been doing this for 1400 years and have had no reason to change.
I'm unsure of your point. If you're saying this time is no different, then I disagree, as I pointed out above.

Wow! I never knew of this speech from Churchill. But, I can definitely see that this could very well have been the reason the bust was returned.
And .. what I’m wondering now is .. is Obama going to allow Hillary to take office ..?? I don’t even know why I’m thinking that way.
