The University Mall is dead...but it doesn't know it...the busiest store in that place is Burlington Coat...Macy's there is the crappiest Macy's ever...Dillard is open 3 days...
Of course, it is in the low income area of Tampa... USF students go to either Wiregrass or International Mall...

Feral young blacks are quite often the problem although the malls are only a symptom of the larger problem.
Once ferals discover they can get there easily and hang out it is all over for that mall. If a city stupidly runs a bus line from the inner city to the mall you can consider it dead even if it has "nice" stores.
Large numbers of young blacks inevitably drive out everybody else with their bad behavior and threatening ways.

St. Matthews Mall was also the scene of the infamous Santa Booth Brawl a couple years back.
LINK
St. Matthews Mall didn't have these issues before they tacked on a big multi-plex movie theater a few years back. Oxmoor Mall, which is right on the other side of the expressway (I 264) from St. Matthews Mall and DOESN'T have a movie theater (or a food court, for that matter) doesn't seem to have them.
Going in to Louisville to visit my future in-laws years ago I was told that those two malls tended to alternate in terms of overall condition. Oxmoor at the time was the old and run-down mall, while St. Matthews was the nice and shiny better one. Now they're reversed, apparently - with St. Matthews taking a decidedly turn towards ghetto.
Thankfully the only time I'd ever need to go to one would be right around Xmas with the wife's family ... but there's nothing in that mall that can't be found elsewhere in the smaller strip malls in the area.

Wow, that’s pretty cheesy. Most of the stuff I remember involved elephants, giraffes and maybe the odd figurine of a warrior.
(And I say this as someone who has a black velvet painting of John Wayne in my bedroom. Yes, I’m single.)

It will stop when you also lock up the parents
Just looked at the Courier-Journal article on this. NO ARRESTS MADE.
Cops were apparently overwhelmed, especially after the fights split off in several directions and became more dispersed.
See the Santa Booth Fight video I posted above, particularly the end where the Paul Blarts show up long after the fight's already broken up.

Looks like Louisville is already on that clock.
If you go to youtube you can find video going back for years of these ‘youths’ rioting. Many of the riots happen at this same mall.
The police are never able to arrest any of them. I wonder why.

There was also a
smallish riot back in March 2014 that started in a park on the Louisville Waterfront and moved through the downtown area ...

As Chris Rock said, every town has 2 malls. The mall the white people go to and the mall the white people used to go to.
Nobody will speak the truth about the violence that is erupting all around us. “Teens” now think that they are above the law and apparently they are correct. I can’t believe there were no arrests after this riot. What is to stop the next one if there are no consequences?

Or maybe it will stop if $25 is deducted each time one of their spawn is detained by the cops.

Interesting...I just clicked on one of the Bing story links about the riot, and it turned up links to past stories of chimps chimpin' out at malls. Seems this is a popular time of year -- Kwanzaa -- for chimp riots. December 28, 2014 in Pittsburgh. December 29, 2013 in Brooklyn. Christmas has its traditions, are we seeing the birth of a Kwanzaa tradition?
