If she wanted to provide charity she should have reached into her own pocket and paid for the food.

Instead she reached into somebody else’ pocket,....Oh Reindeer shit! 69% of all school cafeteria food is thrown out. They are worried ONLY about Fed Gubbermint money coming in. Why not give it to a child who apparently wanted it instead of the brats who ate the nuggets and threw out the rest. What? Do you think they put it in the refrigerator for tomorrow?

When I was a kid I was told the waste went to hog slopping.

How many warnings did she get before being fired?

So how many free meals is she allowed to give out?

When I turned sixteen I got a job at Mickey D's. One day I was working the window when one of my friends came to my line and wanted me to give him free food. I reached into my pocket and paid for it myself.

I guess I must have been a fool. Who would deprive another person of food except a racist homophobe bigot?

Yep, they openly admit it in the story...it's all about the federal money, and not the poor student or the tons of wasted food thrown away every day. Gotta follow procedures all the time, even in the face of common sense, doncha know?
