The actor Tony Randall got married at 75, had two children with his new wife (she was 25 when they married) and died at age 84.

I always found that rather selfish.

But it took four undertakers three days to wipe the smile off his face.

I understand your point, but selfish when the children wouldn’t exist without him and they will have full lives? Lots and lots of kids growing up with no father. Maybe the woman wanted to have those kids. Etc.

Bringing new American life into the world is “selfish”? I suspect his two kids are pretty happy to have been born (as opposed to never have come into existence).

Those kids will know from the start that their Dad loved them and their Mom. Cary Grant kicked up similar dust too, in the late 1960’s with Dyan Cannon. He was ready to live for the benefit of others. Some of us are very late bloomers.

I’m not sure why. She knew what she was getting into. I’m sure he took good care of her in the end.

How long do any of us have?

People get married all the time and don’t last 10 or 15 years.

You never know.

If they were happy, isn’t that all that matters?

I always found that rather selfish.”

It’s always selfish when homosexual men marry women, regardless of their age. It used to be the only way they could have children, before the human trafficking that is permitted now.

There wil always be women willing to go along with this arrangement.
