I bet this mayor did not speak to even a single cop for their opinion;

I bet the mayor would like a smart gun technology that would allow him to deactivate all police guns from the safety of his office.

If the people are to be saddled with prohibitive regulations, the police should demonstrate the viability by submitting first.

I’d like to ask the mayor (on camera), just what is a smart gun?

And does he think the cops are therefore dumb, dumber than their guns.

In a life and death situation, a smart gun is a death sentence.

So limit the police to iffy, untried technology while letting the criminals buy fully automatic military rifles from the department of just-us? How obama of him...

Reliable smart gun technology won’t be available for another age, and they’ve been working on it for forty years plus. Somebody didn’t do their homework. But, what do we expect from journalists, accuracy? If guns were as accurate as media journos, nobody’d ever get shot, every round would be a clean miss!

This is as stupid as it gets. ‘Smart’guns malfunction at a serious rate. Nothing like giving a police officer known faulty equipment.

How much will the family of a dead police officer get in a law suite when he dies in a gun fight with a criminal because the gun malfunctioned. The city would be bankrupted, and should be.

I’d like to ask the mayor (on camera), just what is a smart gun?

He probably thinks it can be programmed to not fire at black people.

I will be sooooo glad when the whole ‘smart’ crap will be gone from the popular culture lexicon. It’s nauseating and STUPID.

Serious question.

Why would any Police Officer EVER Vote for a Democrat?

Is the Police Union more important than their own lives?

I’m serious, what the hell is going on in this Country?

Smart guns should be issued to the president’s Secret Service protection detail first - if the technology is that good, his life is the most important.

Smart cops will carry their own personal dumb guns, so they can protect themselves. It would not be illegal if they used them in that capacity— self defense.

The Mayor’s private security militia should be required to use them for a year or two first as a fair and impartial trial.
