Gun violence costs Nevada taxpayers millions of dollars every year, according to the national gun-control advocacy group Everytown for Gun Safety.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal received an advance copy of the organization's study of state inpatient hospitalizations for gunshot wounds from 2005 through 2014. Average health care costs for gunshots vary by the type of incident, and government insurance plans such as Medicaid and Medicare picked up most of the bills, the study said.
Everytown for Gun Safety and its local affiliate Nevadans for Background Checks are pushing for a 2016 ballot question to expand background checks to nearly all firearm sales and transfers

This statement is bunk, unless the news segments on the TV channels are not telling us what is happening.
There was a crazy person who went into an IHOP in Carson City & shot a number of National Guard persons.
There certainly is a gang problem in the state. There is also a drug problem, but I don’t think this state is alone with that.
However, there is less than 3 million people according to the census, so I am very doubtful of Bloomberg associated statements. I said census because there is a large illegal population in So Nevada, around Las Vegas.
Bloomberg is trying to get an issue onto the Nevada ballot.
Since he doesn’t live here——I suggest he stay the Hell out of where he doesn’t belong.
The rural population of this state is considerable. Predators against livestock are nothing new here. I certainly don’t expect a sheep rancher to use a baseball bat against a coyote or bobcat or mountain lion. I have horses, & I also need weapons against predators.
I certainly do not believe that Nevada persons are trying to get ballot measures onto New York ballots.

Did they compare their data to slips and falls? What about stairs. Stairs are dangerous. Water related accidents? We should control people’s access to water. Don’t look into automobile related medical costs. We’ll all be walking because bicycles and horses aren’t that much safer.

Odds are that most of the people being treated for gunshot wounds are drug dealers, gang bangers or illegals - - or their victims. Of course, none of them give a rat’s ass about background checks.
It’s already on the ballot for November. I believe it’s Initiative 2. Initiative 1 is the “Tax and Regulate” marijuana push i.e., recreational use, at least the way I see it. I asked a couple of our state reps about it and they said once the petition is certified (which it was) it goes on the ballot as written and if passed becomes effective 1/1/2017. I think they also said there is a time limit before it can be changed as well. Not pretty. Quickly getting to the “I don’t care what the pass anymore” point.
Oh, and for giggles: Let's also post the medical expenses of car accidents. The number this feces-flinging group will come up with, is trivial in comparison.
$99 billion. Offset that by the population ratio: 308,745,538 people in the US in 2010, 1,826,341 in Nevada, and I get:
99,000,000,000 * 1,826,341 / 308,745,538 = $585,620,638. That's just for one year.
If you multiply that against the same number of years these jamokes used -- 2005 through 2014, or 10 years, you get almost $6 billion.
These aholes could only scrape up about 300 million.

That has but ONE purpose. The BUYING OF VOTES. If illegals were not deliberately strung out on government (taxpayer) money, they would not vote DemocRat and they would not be here. Real simple actually.
