A suicide attack near the Bagram Airfield, the largest U.S. military facility in Afghanistan, killed six NATO soldiers Monday, including at least three U.S. soldiers.
The Associated Press reported the attack, which NATO has said killed six of its foreign soldiers and wounded three others. The Los Angeles Times, citing an Afghan official, reported that at least three U.S. service members were among those dead in the suicide car bombing. NATO has not yet confirmed the victimsâ nationalities.
According to Brig. Gen. William Shoffner, head of public affairs at NATOâs Resolute Support base in Kabul, said that the suicide attack occurred around 1:30 p.m. local time close to the Bagram Airfield. The Taliban claimed in an email to the AP that it was responsible for the deadly attack.
This represents the deadliest attack on foreign troops in more than four months.
Prayers for the families of those who lost their lives.
Merry Christmas from Barak Hussein Obongo and his rules of engagement and all else he does.
Prayers for families. This is a stupid war without objective or resolve. Just dithering with the lives of our troops.
Easy to send someone’s Son to die while you laugh it up. The worst kind of sinner will surely burn in hell.
The religion of pieces strikes again.
Just damn.
It would really be nice if our next President (Hopefully, one of the good guys) would say, “We’re going after ISIS today. There will be no video footage or embedded journalists due to maintenance of OPSEC. The public will learn of our progress through daily briefings in writing, and no questions will be answered by military personnel because they’ll be too busy doing what they do: Killing people and breaking things.”
OH!
And it would be called, “Operation Pig’s Blood.”
(We know what THAT means)
Make some glass.
My prayers are especially heartfelt as my son did one of his tours at Bagram back five years ago. I am blessed and I send my blessings to the families that have had this terrible loss.
Amen to what you say. We’re either in it to win it, or we shouldn’t be in it.
Expend a few to make sure that they work. We can make more.
Neutron bombs and low yield tactical nukes should have been flung by mid day of 9-12.
Pull our troops out and leave nothing but an ashen crater behind.
Media and Obama (but I repeat myself) will blame Trump.
100% either way or not at all. I know boys that have gone into that hell 9 to 12 times with both arms tied behind their backs walking on egg shells afraid of being court martialed for doing their job.
Need to develop an aerosol pig blood bomb and drop it over a city just to see what they’ll do.
And even when we were claiming progress there was no point in time when any GI would take a stroll by himself down main street in Tehran or in Bagram.
By the time 15 years after the declaration of war hit in Germany and Japan, we were sending families on accompanied tours.
6 American troops killed
If Putin did it, it would be forgotten in 3 months!
You are ABSOLUTELY right! I said to a colleague, two weeks after 9-11, “It is already too late”.
Mecca, at least, should have been turned to glass on 9-12.
