To purchase our first home we had to save up to make a minimum 20% down payment.
To earn the down payment we both worked full time jobs plus I worked two part time jobs.
By the time we had the down payment saved up and were able to buy the democrats had driven interest rates sky high and we were lucky to get a mortgage loan at only 91/2%.
As we worked to pay off our usurious mortgage off we never dreamed that one day the government would be giving people free houses just because they have black skin.
Same here. Country folks are so much better off in so many ways. The independence we have equates to freedom. If the SHTF it also equates to survival.

While that comment does not apply to Chicago (because the white kids never moved out), and I cannot speak for New York or Los Angeles, it is true for Detroit. Lots of metrosexuals heading in. It doesn't bother me, and I still want to move to Detroit myself (because of the urban frontier-thing, and I like to think of myself as a frontiersman). The only thing that will change is that there will be a grocery store when I get there.

I am of a darker skin shade and I saw some truth in what he said, none of my family acts like thugs and are home and property owners for they worked hard for it, hence the reason why they are at where they are.
Roll taxes and regulations back a century and I’ll be doing a lot better.
In those days rural people could still live pretty good without ever holding a regular job.
Looking into my town’s history and I see my neighbor’s great grandfather all through the early days. He managed the ice harvest during the winter, built the stone arches of the bridge. He managed and house and migrant farm hands who came through for all the local farms, did all kinds of odd jobs around town, hunted, trapped and farmed etc.
LOL Detroit is probably the most heavily armed city in the country.
Some 30,000 concealed carry permits backed up by a much larger but unknown number of open carriers and long guns that don’t require registration.
That’s where I hope to be heading! Sadly, the property values have risen. I’m about two years late.
A lot of that neighborhood will be gone in a few years when the new bridge and related infrastructure goes in. Its why the property values have risen.
Still it will be a better neighborhood.
Have you seen the Ambassador Bridge at night? Man, if I find a place with that view, I’ll be in heaven. And, I might have goats.

As of now, Ann Arbor allows me chickens. Ypsi, nothing (but pit bulls, I suppose). Hillsdale? Not moving to that side of the State.

That’s odd, when I bought my house 25 years ago, I thought I had to live within my means. Had I been a protected Obama species, I guess I could have just chosen the fanciest place in town.
And yet the social justice warriors are saying they need safe spaces when meeting to discuss issues because the very presence of whites is intimidating. And then they’re demanding to move into majority white areas in the name of fairness.
You want your own ghettos or you want integration - pick one.
