Appears so. Cruz did nothing, nor Rubio, and Paul. Campaigns are zero excuse to skip such impacting legislation. They should quit the senate and make room for people who might care.

Rush is right on this... we’ve got to start replacing the GOPe - from the top down...

CISA is tucked in the Omnibus

“Why was the CISA included in the omnibus package, which just passed both the House and the Senate? Because any “nay” votes - or an Obama - would also threaten the entire budget of the federal government. In other words, it was a question of either Americans keeping their privacy or halting the funding of the US government, in effect bankrupting the nation.

And best of all, the rushed bill means there will be no debate.

The bottom line as OTI’s Robyn Green said, “They’ve got this bill that’s kicked around for years and had been too controversial to pass, so they’ve seen an opportunity to push it through without debate. And they’re taking that opportunity.”

The punchline: “They’re kind of pulling a Patriot Act.”

And when Obama signs the $1.1 trillion Spending Bill in a few hours, as he will, it will be official: the second Patriot Act will be the law, and with it what little online privacy US citizens may enjoy, will be gone.”

Well, Rush said Cruz did complain about it in this article.

Here’s a statement by Cruz from another piece linked below.
_______________________________________________________

UPDATE: A strong statement from Sen. Cruz who voted against the bill:

“What we’ve seen in Congress today is profoundly disappointing. This spending bill does not honor the promises we made to the men and women who elected us. It funds Obamacare. It funds Planned Parenthood. It funds executive amnesty. It fails to protect our national security and stop Syrian refugees from coming to this country. It fails to do anything to stop the Iranian Nuclear Deal. And what does it do? It jacks up yet more low-skilled immigration, which will only drag down wages, kill American jobs, and hurt working men and women.

This bill is the big-government agenda of Democrats that effectively forfeits our massive Republican victories of 2014 and cements Obama’s priorities for nearly the full remainder of his term. This is the Washington Cartel in action, and it’s precisely why the American people from coast-to-coast are so volcanically frustrated.”

The nation is already bankrupt.

Appears so. Cruz did nothing, nor Rubio, and Paul.

"And of course when they're called on it, naturally those of us who criticize it are going to be pointed to as the problem," he continued. "Why is the only Republican in all of Congress who is complaining about this Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)? Well, yeah -Cruz is, Rubio did somewhat. Jeff Sessions is really the only guy standing up and complaining about it, warning before it happened, trying to alert people what's on the verge of happening.

Rush said Cruz was a good guy here... he is in the middle of a campaign...

That's what's supposed to have been happening during the last two election cycles.

Doesn't work.

Until we have term limits and laws requiring termed out politicians to get the he11 out of D.C. and out of any lobbying capacity, we aren't going anywhere.

The D.C. insiders must REALLLY have some good chit to consistently bribe all of these legislators all of the time.

Bears repeating. When the time comes to act on behalf of the country, Cruz, Rubio and Paul prefer to argue minutia, make political points that only they really give a damn' about, and twiddle their thumbs in angst while the country falls apart to complete shit.

Yep, that sure gives me a reason to pick one of the above for President ... NOT.

You can’t clean house in the GOP. IT is too corrupt with liberal ideology, hence, Boehner, Ryan, Mcconnel, Cornyn, McStain, etc. They are too tied into accepting money from US Chamber of Commerce, and other once conservative but now liberal groups. START ANEW. The foundation I there! Time for the Tea Party to be it’s own party. They do not appear to be interconnected with liberalism just for money.

Uh, Paul and Cruz actually showed up to vote. What more did you want them to do? They’ve decried it (Omnibus) just as loudly as Sessions.

You pop around threads bashing Cruz even when it proven to be otherwise. Who are you voting for? Let me guess, nobody you deem worthy to vocalize out loud. You prefer to sit on the middle ground lobbing bombs right?

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

Lukewarm gets spewed.

Straddle the Fence?

And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word. (1 Kgs. 18:21)

So who do you support? Or will you not answer us a word?

BTW... Rush did say Cruz was opposing this bill... did you read the article...

RUSH: Well Yeah CRUZ is (fighting against the Omnibus bill).

No. We’ve lost 6 Senate seats that way.

But you’d “let” Obama, Clinton, and the other democrats to claim both a Senate seat (sometimes won by a dead man) and a presidential race? (Not that Lindsey Graham’s seat is held by a republican right now anyway.)

I love Cruz, and he did oppose this bill. Even gave press releases that proved it. But give Sessions his due, he was on the floor pounding away like a trooper. Nobody can claim they are more up to the subject than Sessions on this matter. Not Cruz not Trump not Paul.

When Sessions released that report documenting every single time Obama used his pen to make our borders more porous and less secure, Sessions was the one that sharpened his pencil and documented it.
