Appears so. Cruz did nothing, nor Rubio, and Paul. Campaigns are zero excuse to skip such impacting legislation. They should quit the senate and make room for people who might care.

Well, Rush said Cruz did complain about it in this article.

Here’s a statement by Cruz from another piece linked below.
_______________________________________________________

UPDATE: A strong statement from Sen. Cruz who voted against the bill:

“What we’ve seen in Congress today is profoundly disappointing. This spending bill does not honor the promises we made to the men and women who elected us. It funds Obamacare. It funds Planned Parenthood. It funds executive amnesty. It fails to protect our national security and stop Syrian refugees from coming to this country. It fails to do anything to stop the Iranian Nuclear Deal. And what does it do? It jacks up yet more low-skilled immigration, which will only drag down wages, kill American jobs, and hurt working men and women.

This bill is the big-government agenda of Democrats that effectively forfeits our massive Republican victories of 2014 and cements Obama’s priorities for nearly the full remainder of his term. This is the Washington Cartel in action, and it’s precisely why the American people from coast-to-coast are so volcanically frustrated.”

Appears so. Cruz did nothing, nor Rubio, and Paul.

"And of course when they're called on it, naturally those of us who criticize it are going to be pointed to as the problem," he continued. "Why is the only Republican in all of Congress who is complaining about this Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)? Well, yeah -Cruz is, Rubio did somewhat. Jeff Sessions is really the only guy standing up and complaining about it, warning before it happened, trying to alert people what's on the verge of happening.

Rush said Cruz was a good guy here... he is in the middle of a campaign...

Bears repeating. When the time comes to act on behalf of the country, Cruz, Rubio and Paul prefer to argue minutia, make political points that only they really give a damn' about, and twiddle their thumbs in angst while the country falls apart to complete shit.

Yep, that sure gives me a reason to pick one of the above for President ... NOT.

Uh, Paul and Cruz actually showed up to vote. What more did you want them to do? They’ve decried it (Omnibus) just as loudly as Sessions.

No. We’ve lost 6 Senate seats that way.

But you’d “let” Obama, Clinton, and the other democrats to claim both a Senate seat (sometimes won by a dead man) and a presidential race? (Not that Lindsey Graham’s seat is held by a republican right now anyway.)
