Ted Cruz's vision turns ugly
Washington Post ^ | 12/16/15 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 12/16/2015 9:10:56 AM PST by ek_hornbeck

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) outdid himself last night in his courting of the Trumpkin base. In doing so, he sank further into the far-right brew of isolationism and xenophobia.

At one point in the debate, Cruz proclaimed: “Wolf, I believe in an America-first foreign policy, that far too often President Obama and Hillary Clinton — and, unfortunately, more than a few Republicans — have gotten distracted from the central focus of keeping this country safe.” Cruz is an Ivy League-educated man and knows full well the history of the isolationist “America First” policy:

I've always thought of Jennifer Rubin as among the most shrill and loathsome GOP establishment talking heads, and this op-ed is no exception. On the bright side, she says what most RNC apparatchiks think but dare not say in fear of alienating the base in general elections, so Rubin is useful in her own warped way.

You can always identify a hack by their reflexive use of pejorative buzzwords. Someone opposes open borders? Call him a "xenophobe", and hope that will dismiss his arguments. Someone opposes nation-building operations abroad? Call him an "isolationist." It's a great way to distract attention from the fact that your opponents are talking sense while you're in hysterics.

The time has come, and is, that we need a candidate like Ted Cruz. I hope he charges on.

America first is why America is the greatest nation on earth. When a country is prosperous, it has the means to help other countries.

Well, this article is evidence that Cruz and Trump carried the night in the debate. The WP writers, no doubt, had little sleep last night with their nightmares of a Trump or Cruz presidency.

Rubin is an idiot. Cruz was deliberately courting Paul’s remaining supporters—and he did an excellent job.

“Trumpkin”?

Is it ok for people to support this guy without people on both sides spending time coining goofy names like this?

I’m glad Cruz is solidly in the 2nd spot. D.C.ers hate him more than Trump.

Cruz has also navigated Washington and knows exactly what to do. He’d be a solid VP pick and a solid Supreme Court pick.

Jennifer Rubin watches Bill O’Reilly’s word of the day.

Hey Jennifer “ sesquipedalian” and go make me a sandwich

Jennifer Rubin, picks up the rice
In the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face
That she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for

All the lonely RINOs
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely RINOs
Where do they all belong?

What’s so ugly about Ted Cruz’s vision? This is what people want.

I'm guessing that Lindsey Graham is Rubin's dream candidate, even though she's probably going with Jeb or Rubio as her pragmatic choices. If so, she accounts for most of Graham's fraction of one percent in each poll.

Cruz was the best I’ve heard him. He is so smart and prepared . You can tell how well he did by the level of loathing at the Washington Compost. Super job Ted!! Carry on!!

.

Clearly, Jennifer Rubin has NOT had any family members, relatives, office colleages, neighbors ...

butchered in cold blood by either “peaceful” Islamic terrorists ...

or the “illegal invaders” so beloved by Jeb Bush.

Jennifer Rubin’s perspective is shared by tens of millions of naive Americans.

However, sadly .. “when enough people have died” ...

Ms. Jennifer Rubio will change her tune.

It’s simply a matter of time ...

and Isis and Obama’s beloved Moslem Brotherhood clearly have “useful idiots” like Jennifer Rubin in their blood-soaked crosshairs.

.

“I’ve always thought of Jennifer Rubin as among the most shrill and loathsome GOP establishment talking heads”

Yep. She’s got a crazy Cruz obsession.

And the headline is written as if she had not always been bashing Cruz, as if inly now, to her, he is going overboard.

I dislike her intellectual dishonesty more than that she doesn’t like Cruz.

And she is greatly representative of the GOPe.

Cruz was deliberately courting Paul’s remaining supporters

Earlier this year, Paul was polling at 8-10%, he's now barely above 2. Most of Paul's former support is already in Cruz's pocket.
