On Monday nightâs radio program, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin called out Donald Trump for mimicking the statists and the Republican establishment by attacking rival Ted Cruz and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia over the weekend.

We are inching ever so closely to a Hillary presidency.
I’m done with Levin.
His chart that has appeared on Isara’s posts for the last few months is severely flawed.
One thing that Trump has already done, is out every one that pretended to be with us, and was really a GOPe fellow traveler all along.
Trump has amazed everyone. And nobody’s yet seen how the man can bounce back from a real setback.
Then why is Levin attacking Trump?
Levin’s is certainly the conventional wisdom. For six months, Trump has proven the conventional wisdom on both sides wrong, wrong, wrong.
If Ted hadn’t attacked him first we wouldn’t be here.
Yep, looks like they are excited by it.
JEB/Cruz ticket=Hillary win
Glad Rush and Levin are finally seeing what Trump is. Hopefully his supporters will slowly come out of their trance and see just who they have been following.
Based on his comments regarding Cruz in the senate, Trump was teaming up with McConnell, McCain e.t.c. to denounce what Cruz has been doing in the senate. In fact Trump used a variation of McCain's label of "whacko bird" that he used on Cruz.
Trump further suggested that Cruz should not vocally stand against the establishment.
Will the real Donald Trump show up please? It looks like we have seen a fake for the last few months.
Because Trump is not a conservative. He is conservative on a few issues.
Frankly, I’ve been shocked at how generous Levin has been to Trump. Levin is a constitutional conservative and has overlooked a lot of Trump’s previous statements.
These guys are all Cruz bots. Limbaugh, Levin..they better watch it themselves or their ratings are going to collapse. I’m waiting for Laura Ingraham to attack then im done with talk radio.
FReepers have known all along (see JR’s early posts) that Donald Trump is running as a Populist.
That’s uncomfortable.
We desperately want to defeat the GOPe / RINO / WSJ / McCain / Chamber of Crony Capitalists Caucus. If Trump is the man to do that, we might have to go along and support him.
We do, though, have a thoroughgoing principled conservative in the race, Cruz. Cruz is not as popular, as goes with Trump’s PopulISM.
Thus the conundrum.
I’m happy to let them both continue to play it out. I would prefer they did that by proposing their strengths to we voters. Trump appears ready to attack. Fair enough; politics ain’t beanbag.
So here we go. Trump is picking a fight. Cruz, to be President, must parry and thrust in such a way as to win.
We want a conservative establishment breaking President who WINS.
About time!!!!!!
Best hour of Levin I’ve heard in awhile.
Must’ve taken guts. I’ve been hearing (as much as I can stand) “conservative” hosts dancing around this fraud for six months. I can just picture the “suits” showing them charts and screaming about how the Trumplodytes are their demo and are to never be offended. This piece puts it better than I can:
JEB is all but out of the race. The question now is if we want a proven constitutional conservative (Cruz) or a bombastic populist who leans to the left (Trump).
Yes, everyone must coddle Ted. he cannot defend himself in public. He needs talk show hosts to help him.
I think Trump will learn from this and maybe even do a mea culpa to right the wrong.
I still support him 100% because we need to a non-politician that has no restraints to go in and fix what is broken. That is the #1 thing that makes Trump attractive as the candidate for me.
Trump fans on this “conservative” site refuse to believe Trump is not a conservative. He is conservative on a few issues that resonate.
He has made numerous statements that show he is not a conservative.
I don’t know Levin. I likely never will.
However, Trump is the closest candidate to Reagan that I have ever known.
