Poll: Trump Opens Massive National Lead
Breitbart ^ | Dec 14, 2015 | Mike Flynn

Posted on 12/14/2015 12:30:53 PM PST by Red Steel

The poll of 385 Republican supporters or leaners was taken days after Trump proposed a temporary bar on Muslim immigrants into the United States, and shows Trump with 41 percent support nationwide. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is a very distant second, with 14 percent support.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) is third, with 10 percent, while neurosurgeon Ben Carson is fourth, with 9 percent support.

Carson has dropped 9 points since a previous Monmouth poll in October. Cruz and Rubio each gained 4 points, while Trump's support increased by almost a half, up 13 points from 28 percent. That scores give him a "commanding national lead" among GOP-leaning adults, said the Monmouth University...

no other candidate receives more than 3 percent, which is below the poll's 5 percent margin of error. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has just 3 percent support. In July, Bush led the GOP field with 15 percent support. In other words, four-fifths of Jeb’s support has evaporated.

Jeb Bush also has the highest unfavorable rating of any Republican candidate. Almost half of Republicans, 47 percent, have a negative opinion...

Unsurprisingly, national security and terrorism have catapulted to the top issue for Republicans...

Donald Trump has also seen a lift in his personal ratings. Trump now has the highest favorable rating among all the GOP candidates, with 61 percent of Republicans having a positive opinion of the frontrunner. His unfavorable rating of 29 percent

Ted Cruz has the best net rating, subtracting unfavorables from favorables. Cruz's personal rating is +40, followed by Marco Rubio with +37...

With the exception of Ted Cruz, Donald Trump was roundly criticized by all of his Republican opponents, and much of the Republican national leadership...

In other words, the loud condemnations of Trump from national Republican leaders had zero impact

Because those voters don’t vote in state primaries, right?

Of course he’s ahead in every primary state poll as well. Maybe there’s some sort of connection?

You know i’m on a physical rehab vacation in South Australia, cold Alaska wasn’t helping some old wounds to heal i recieved back in 2014 plus i’ve always wanted to visit Oz, but anyway sitting here something like 8300 miles away i am constantly keeping in touch with all of Trumps comments and speeches.

They give Trump a fair shake on the local news though, if anything he has a pretty good following from Aussies. Its no secret here that many in Oz are not happy with Islam as well.

They had some protests in the major cities last month, more so than in America.

I personally hope Trump holds nothing back, you go big or go home.

The media and all the other anti-Trumper have another epic fail. From the article:

In other words, the loud condemnations of Trump from national Republican leaders had zero impact

Weren’t Trump supporters trashing a Monmouth poll last week?

I was just watching CNN and the new meme is that national polls mean nothing. No mention of Trump’s yuge leads in state polls. All those Trump supporters will just turn into pumpkins if he doesn’t win the IA caucuses.

They wish so much. Trump’s Iowa people are having how-to caucus classes in Iowa for all his rally goers. The pollsters are making a big mistake by filtering them and only relying on former caucus goers. That’s not going to hold up very well in this election cycle.

Yes, when Monmouth was showing Cruz leading Trump in Iowa. Just like when I saw a Trump supporter castigating an Iowa that showed a large Cruz lead because it only had 499 respondents to represent all of Iowa, but thinks this poll is absolutely true, even though it only has 385 Republicans to represent the whole country...
