I see you’ve learned your debate skills from Trump. But at least you prove my point. Drink up.

Sad to see so many on this thread on the Cruz side or the Trump side only. This infighting will be bad come the general election.

For me Cruz or Trump will be an acceptable candidate and would gladly vote for either one.

I really believe this race will boil down to these too. I hope everyone will unite once the candidate is chosen and back him.

It is as valid as choosing between Rush and Trump.

Do you see Scalia as a racist? You are fine with Trump essentially saying that, parroting the Dems and the MSM?

This is why conservatives keep getting stabbed in the back. We blindly follow people during elections and turn a blind eye to the warning signs.

You make the assumption that Trump’s words are always right. If you start from that premise, you have forfeiting your ability to intellectually assess the situation. Trump wins no matter what with that premise. I want no part of that. We have been burned by that strategy before.

“Trump has admitted he will be a puppet for others. He does not know what he needs to know. You are electing a puppet while the puppet masters are yet to be announced.”

Did intended species cry foul why lonesome fowl sped reguritated yarn in summer nets?

Yes it’s a huge gamble. I like much of what he says, which is also what resonates with supporters. I get that, I really do. I just don’t see how I could trust him, and that’s my problem. But if he’s the nominee, I’ll dutifully pull the lever for him. I didn’t stay home in 2012.

Don’t leave Rush over this. He’s always been a Cruz guy so he’s going to get some licks in at some point. Overall though he’s more objective than others with analysis.

Rush will still be covering conservative news long after Trump is back to showing up for Hillary’s dinner parties.

I do not, but then I don't agree with everything Trump or anybody else says all the time. Conservatives get stabed in the back because they elect the people the CFG and CoC keep putting up. TPA ring a bell? corker bill, what about H1B visas and amnesty?

Trump doesn’t have any PACS, he is funding his own run and is the only one to do so. Donors expect to get something in return, so he is his own “master”.
Remove the ear plugs and bias blinkers.

When Trump is caught not knowing his subject he says, “I’ll hire experts.” THAT is essentially saying he will be their puppet. Better to have someone who understands the Constitution so that when he takes the oath to “uphold and defend the Constitution” he will actually have a clue as to what that means and how to do it.

: I don't think he has the right temperament. I don't think he's got the right judgment. You look at the way he's dealt with the Senate where he goes in there like a... You know, frankly, like a little bit of a maniac. You're never gonna get things done that way. You can't walk into the Senate and scream and call people liars and not be able to cajole and get along with people.

That describes Donald Trump to a “t”. He's been calling everyone a liar, he screams and yells at people who criticize him, etc. In sum, Trump acts like a maniac. Never seen Ted Cruz screaming and yelling at people who don't agree with him. He engages in calm deliberate reasoned Well thought out debates with them and wins. The Trump way is to holler and scream.

Trump is out for Trump. As a supporter, do you at least hope he will be true to you?

Too bad the Founding Fathers didn’t realize campaign contributions were bad and that only billionaires need apply for the job. They could have written that into the Constitution.

Very disappointed in Rush today. Don't know it he was uninformed or if it was intentional, but he failed to properly relate how inflammatory Cruz's remarks about Trump actually were. Of course, Cruz foolishly thought he could talk to big donors off the record in these days and times where everyone has all sorts of miniaturized spy equipment (if they chose to use it that way).

Rush also said the remarks were reported by a couple of source, when in reality they were recorded.

A little sampler:

But he added, Quote You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, its given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face?Unquote

He went on: Quote Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now thats a question of strength, but its also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them.Unquote

OMG, can with trust that crazy Trump with his finger on the nuke button? How much lower can Cruz go? That's a slur the Dims and the worst of the GOPe talking heads throw and Trump and anyone they want to disparage.

Cruz set this off with his little statements that he didn't think Trump would be the nominee. Then he went on to his little 'secret meeting' with his big donors.

Ted Cruz Questions Donald Trumps Judgment to Be President

And we have Hannity just now playing Trumps Sunday reply first to what Cruz said days before. Now he's playing Cruz much earlier remarks second.

People paying close attention want be so impressed with Rush and Hannity today, leaving out facts and not presenting things as they happened.

Or he's just being presidential.

Rush is great but (of course ‘but’ LOL!)...

RUSH: My questioning here about the way Trump has gone off Cruz here, calling him a maniac, refusing to work with people in the Senate, the reason I’m focusing on that, folks, ‘cause that’s so unlike Trump.

He’s missing Trump’s point which is that Cruz is not succeeding in the Senate with his methods- implying that Cruz wouldn’t succeed in the presidency for the same reason.
Of course no freshman Senator is going to accomplish much however nice he is or however mean he is.
But it’s an effective political point IMO.

Forces?

No, Cruz didn’t force the blunders. Trump stumbled into them all on his own. It was just a matter of time, really.

So it is now presidential to not be well schooled in the Constitution? How will he be able to recognize a Constitutional Conservative to nominate for the Court? Oh yeah, he won’t bother because they are probably racists like Scalia.

When did Trump say he wasn’t schooled in the Constitution and he’d hire out for that?
