LE BOURGET, France (AP) - The latest on the U.N. climate conference outside Paris (all times local):

The White House is calling the Paris accord "the most ambitious climate change agreement in history" and says it establishes "a long-term, durable global framework" to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

President Barack Obama is to make a statement on the climate agreement later Saturday at the White House.

I saw a video where they praised the sound of the gavel which saved the world.
I say that the sound of the gavel was the sound of the hammer forging the last link in the chain of global tyranny.

Obama will take credit for saving the world even though COP 21 WAS A FAIL

the smart thing for the next President to do would be to start approving nuclear power plants and explain that its the only way to meet our requirements under the agreement.

[[U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry is praising the new accord on global warming as a deal that will save the world for generations to come. He says -it’s a victory for all of the planet and for future generations.]]

How in the hell can they stand there with a straight face and make such asinine comments like that?

We may be laughing now, but if this absurdity is ratified, it won’t be funny at all. First, it mandates capitalist countries hand over billions of our tax dollars to undeveloped countries, not to help develop them, but just because. Because we have money and they want it.

Secondly, the goal is to seriously curtail, or even shut down, consumption of fossil fuels. This will be accomplished by skyrocketing costs and punitive taxation that will render consumption prohibitively expensive for all but the elites who have foisted this tyranny upon us.

Thirdly, if I understand it correctly, there are provisions allowing (encouraging) poor or “oppressed” countries, tribes, or loosely defined entities to sue rich nations and/or corporations that develop and distribute fossil fuels— just because. Because the billions we hand over won’t be enough, and they’ll always want more. And because aggressive litigation serves the goal of bankrupting the producers.

Because they are narcissistic imbeciles whose tenuous grasp on reality was forged in the classrooms of their snotty colleges by their Marxist professors. Given that they are in the elite realm of society, they are like any other fool in that strata. Therefore, they see, hear and speak no evil of each other as long as they contribute to the glorious goal that all the other fools around them herald. In this way they get to live the lives of gutter scum and tyrannical swine without judgment or consequence.

That's how they can stand there with straight faces and make asinine comments like that.

Sorry, didn’t mean you specifically.
I meant in general. We’re living in bizarro world.
The stuff that is being foisted on us is almost impossible to believe, so laughing is actually a perfectly natural response.
We’re actually being ruled by people who want to tax cow farts.
