Rush has...been quite circumspect with it. The way he’s put it is that he can’t say any more right now. The one very telling time was when Snerdly was asking Rush about his coverage of Trump and Rush spoke very deliberately but deflected and never really answered.

There’s there there. ;)

Actually, I talked recently to some moderate voters who lean republican, and they can't stand Trump. They think he spews a lot of BS. Actually there were some who were picking Cruz over Trump. They kept laughing at Trump at what they said was the banning of all Muslims from this country.

Keep repeating that to yourself and you may even create your own fantasy land.

The fantasy world is yours. You do not understand why Trump is leading 40 percent in Georgia or 35 percent in South Carolina, or 35 in New Hampshire, while Cruz languishes at 13 or 14 or 15 percent, or sometimes even as far back as 4th place, down into the single digits. A candidate in such a dense field doesn't constantly lead for 5 months straight, past the summer and into winter, because of good luck. It's charisma and leadership.

Ted Cruz simply does not have it.

Without Donald Trump, the energy in this race simply wouldn't exist. And without Trump the energy disappears.

Are you a teenager?
...........................................
If I were, I’d believe in fairy tales and Ted Cruz.

Well, that settles it. Since you don’t believe in the constitutional conservative Ted Cruz you must not be a teenager....you’re just immature and a shallow thinker.

Then you literally polled some a**holes just like you, since there are polls put out showing 60 to 70 percent approval of Donald Trump's Muslim moratorium!

You do not understand what's happening around you because you're stuck in your echo chamber.

But it won't matter. This race is Trump's. Unless he really does nuke himself, he'll be winning the primary. Just prepare yourself psychologically!

He never lived! He was always a figment created by the incompetence of our "conservative" talking heads and our own gullibility. Like on amnesty:

The New York Times are looking for a fight and issue anything to be relevant. The NYT are frauds and cannot be believed. They have no moral authority or credibility.

Nothing to even be concerned about. Trump is cresting the 40’s in support. By February he will be in the high 40’s or in the low 50’s.

First it was Bush, then Fiorina, then Carson, then Rubio and now Cruz. Whatever!

Well the polling doesn’t indicate that at this time. Cruz does VERY poorly among moderates.
Of course Cruz hasn’t had to appeal to moderates yet. But that time is coming soon.
He’s a persuasive guy with a lot of money so it’s too early to say he won’t be able to appeal to them.
But he hasn’t yet.

I’m with you. I think it’s here merely to carry out a mission of stirring up dissent in the ranks. If not that then it’s a misguided fool...and is not self-aware enough to realize it. I’m done trying to reason with the fool/agent provocateur.

There were never any ranks. The Cruz coalition is a minority in comparison to Trump's overall support. Cruz is a candidate who campaigns on a delusion, and his supporters support him with their own delusions, thinking that mere denials and mockery can change reality.

...as well as a large number of non-voters turned voters for the first time this election cycle.

You can also add in people like me that gave up on voting as a pointless waste of time. Last time I voted was when they told me I had to vote for McCain. I just felt dirty as I walked out of the polling place after voting for him. I haven't voted since.

I used to contribute a lot of money to the Republican party and to individual conservative candidates. Voted religiously election after election.

Never again.

I'm thinking that I'd go and vote for Trump if they give me the chance next year, but I know I won't bother going out to vote for anyone else.

Well, we will see. Right now there is a primary to win, and you can’t go into the general without having all the conservative voters under your wing.

I’m through with you and have long since tired (as have many others) of your immaturity and provocations. And I’m certainly weary of your continuous gratuitous insults directed at Ted Cruz constitutional conservative supporters — who constitute a significant chunk of FReepers.

Says the guy who asks a poster if he's a teenager, implying that he's immature.

Does that mean you're going to stop trolling me? None of you cretins can change the facts, so it would be a welcome relief to not have to deal with puppies nipping at my ankles.
