How can he speak of the Carson and Trump campaigns as if they are similar. They are both non-politicians but that is no indicator of similarity that matters when it comes to how effective their campaigns will be, or if they will fall apart.
This “gravity” argument has been lofted for months. It’s become somewhat of a joke here. Now Ted is using it in a serious manner.
I don’t see this as a particularly good strategy, and it seems one guy he thought was buying in was getting ready to nail him with a sound-byte.
Maybe he’s trying to move donors. That prediction will be seen for what it is in weeks, as Trump continues to climb in the polls.

I just listened to the whole thing, hopefully Trump wont see it as an attack, must have been a spy planted? Unless they wanted it out there, dont think so.

Yep, Cruz supporters aren’t appreciating the full jerky/arrogant import of Ted’s statements here. This does not help Cruz with Trump supporters or even people on the fence at all.

Yes, but in the case of Carson you had a serious pipe dream there from the get go. I don’t think his numbers were anywhere near as high as they were stated.
That was a last ditch effort to build momentum in anyone but Trump.
Trump has worked tirelessly to attain the numbers he has. You can think of what he has been up to and understand why his numbers are high.
With Carson we were left scratching our heads, as a guy not doing any campaigning was jumping ten to fifteen points in the polls.
Trump isn’t going to crater. His numbers have been more solid than ever over the last week. He’s been there for months. That gravity thought isn’t up to snuff.
Another poster said, “What else are you going to say talking to donors?” and I agree with that.
This was a small meeting (I think) and he didn’t mean for the words to get out. I’m not particularly impressed that someone did out them.
If he wants to make public statements to that effect, the media will put it out there gladly.

Oh no! A candidate for office wants to earn the voters that are currently supporting a rival!
Yeah, that’s what running a campaign is all about.
And Cruz knows (unlike many supporters of all candidates) that if a candidate were to drop out, their supporters would be less likely to support another candidate that has insulted and attacked their first choice. So play nice and when other candidates drop out, their supporters are more likely to go to you.
Well, then, Barbara will not be happy with you!
