The evangelical leader has endorsed each of the last two Iowa caucus winners, former Gov. Mike Huckabee (Ark.) and former Sen. Rick Santorum (Penn.). Both are running in the 2016 election, but were passed over by Vander Plaats in favor of Cruz. Good grief!!! The great Christian sage Vander Plaats has declared for Cruz in Iowa? Hooptie-doo! He has a track record of predicting losers -- the ones the Iowa caucus affirmed because of Vander Plaats' influence -- but who subsequently did not succeed in securing the GOP presidential nomination. If I were Cruz, I'd be worried about this endorsement....
Don't get me wrong. I really, really LIKE and ADMIRE Cruz. But not as much as I like and admire The Donald, right about now.
My GOP "dream ticket" would be Trump/Cruz. In that order. I regard this ticket as the best guarantor of our Constitutional liberties for the next sixteen years.
And I would be glad to defend that statement against "all comers" of a different point of view -- be they Democrats or Republicans.
Thank you so very much for your post, Cincinatus' Wife! Call it funny if you will, but it seems to me that, in so many ways, Donald Trump is our present-day Cincinatus....
