Jeb Bush's operation has spent an incredible amount of money already during this campaign - to no apparent effect.
According to ad-buying data from SMG Delta, posted by Mark Murray of NBC News, Bush's Super PAC and campaign have already spent a massive $32.5 million on ads in total - far, far more than the operation of any other GOP candidate.
In fact, Team Bush's spending is twice as much as the combined money spent on ads for the top four GOP candidates in the polls - Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Ben Carson. Yet Bush remains in the low single digits in polls nationally and in early states.
Check out this graphic of SMG Delta's numbers showing how little apparent relation there is between ad spending and poll numbers:

There may be a message here for you, Jeb.
That’s funny.
The only fire Jeb has is not a fire in his belly but the fire on his money.
Jeb Bush is still in the race? I haven’t seen one of his ads. Is he sure his campaign manager isn’t doing a Sandy Berger and stuffing the money in his pants?
No. It was NOT wasted.
ALL of it went to the National Republican Party MEDIA and their handlers! IT STAYED IN WASHINGTON, In NYC, in LA in the hands of the media now trashing trump with every penney they have earned.
I don’t know where you live but Jeb Bush ads run non-stop here, every time there’s a commercial, there’s a Jeb ad. The only other ones I see are Rubio ads.
Advertising and propaganda work. If they didn’t there would be no advertising agencies. But obviously there are limits. It’s hard to get consumers to buy and eat a s&#t sandwich, no matter how good your ads are.
Bush should pull the plug now rather than wait for the inevitable humiliation.
LOL!
Throw another million on the Barbie, mate.
In 2012 Santorum ran on a shoestring budget and won Iowa. Sometimes it’s the message and/or the messenger. Jeb should have taken notice. Money can’t buy everything.
No. It went somewhere — right into Mike Murphy’s pocket.
15% of $32.5 million is a lot of money.
Wow!
Amazing graphic. Thanks for posting it.
Isn’t the way this works that the PAC is not controlled by the candidate, and has to be independent?
JEB didn’t spend the money, a PAC that supports him did. A big difference.
Now, having said that, the best way for the PAC to use the rest of the money would be to keep their powder dry. Hold off until later in the campaign. No, Jeb isn’t going to get the nomination, but if the PAC has a lot of cash they can get him a prominent position in a Republican administration. He is still young.
Now, I am not a Jeb fan, but this would t=be the best way to support him with all that money.
