Many who closely follow the dueling Islamic terror narratives emanating from the White House are mystified by Mr. Obama's inability (or deliberate unwillingness) to utter the phrase "Islamic terrorists." Many are curious, too, about why he refuses to call ISIS "ISIS," steadfastly insisting instead that everybody in his administration call the terror group "ISIL." What's the difference, and why is it important? The agendas behind each diverge widely. In fact, the variance between the two is elephantine in scale.
ISIS stands for the "Islamic State in Iraq and Syria," a terror group controlling a large swath of both Iraq and Syria in which the terrorists claim to have established a "caliphate," a state in which Islamic sharia law is imposed upon all living in the area, anyone who fails to adhere to strict Muslim guidelines has his head removed. Obama's contrary assertions aside, ISIS is by no means contained. In fact, the savage group (which prefers to be called the "Islamic State" or "IS") has metastasized on maps like immense pools of blood covering the ancient borders that once divided parts of Syria and Iraq.
ISIL, Obama's preference, stands for the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant." According to glaphyridae.com, "[t]he Levant in its geographical sense comprises the following political entities: the west part of Syria, Lebanon, west part of Jordan, Palestine (West Bank and Gaza Strip), Israel and Sinai (Egypt)." Other sources claim that it also encompasses parts of Turkey. All of these states embrace Islam, with one very notable exception: Israel, our only "blood brother" ally in the region that all Islamic terrorists want gone, violently and forever.

I’m glad this little gem of Obama’s is receiving some notice.
Among other reasons it is a power play. The rest of us call it ISIS. He and his minions call it ISIL. He wants us to change and call it ISIL. If he can do that he will have bent us to his will.

I get that they don’t like it. I never heard why though.
For months I have been explaining this to people.
I am glad finally it is getting some play in the media.

More evidence that Obama is indeed muslim. Muslim money put him there and muslim money is behind all of this mess. It is becoming obvious beyond a shadow of a doubt. Americans, who have become basically agnostic and/or irreligious, are going to become subject to this fanatical cult if they do not repent and turn back to God. No other solution is available.

Every speech he makes about the MIdeast is codeword wink-wink-nudge-nudge to his Muslim boyfriends - "See, I'm one of you, and the dhimmis are too stupid to get it - but they will, Allah willing..."
Well... despite what he intends, all he’s really accomplishing by calling it ISIL is admitting it’s more widely spread than he claims it is.

Ages ago, people complained because he WASN’T using the acronym . . . now he’s being criticized for it. I think it’s correct to use it. By using ISIL instead of ISIS, it’s showing the true nature of the fanatical group of thugs. They don’t want to show any admission of acknowledging the existence of Israel. Using ISIL to describe them shows this.

Thanks to Arabic wordplay, it could also be an insult. “Depending on how it is conjugated in Arabic, it can mean anything from ‘to trample down and crush’ to ‘a bigot who imposes his view on others,’ “Boston Globe writer Zeba Khan reported in October 2014. ISIS threatened “to cut the tongue of anyone who publicly used the acronym Daesh, instead of referring to the group by its full name,” the Associated Press wrote in September 2014.

That the vermin have threatened anyone who uses the term, indicates it is an insult that they’re not particularly fond of.
Agreed and whether it's ISIS or ISIL, each refers to an Islamic State. What is an Islamic State if not a State advocating and operating under the tenets of Islam? And it's a State whose whose members carry out acts of terror in the name of Islam, i.e., Islamic terrorists. These ISIS or ISIL terrorists, if you believe that Islam is a religion of peace (or even if you don't), are radical Islamic terrorists. And using this dialectic, we don't even get to the issue of whether ISIS or ISIL members are Muslim. Obama calls it ISIL but refuses to call its members radical Islamic terrorists. Most absurd and delusional.
