There was a spec forces guy (a Colonel I think) who was ready to send troops but was relieved of duty before he could.

This is where an astute commander issues the order to proceed with the mission, with the instructions, should you lose communications, Your "Lost Commo" protocol is to implement my last command. I will advise the pentagon of my orders to you.

Please, Do Not turn your radios off accidently, (Wink, Wink)

That gives a different slant on things. Must not have had the right man on the job.

Now the families know. What happened to that mother of one of the victims that knew Hillary was lying? I hope we hear from her again now

AN EMAIL OBTAINED by a watchdog group reveals that the Pentagon was ready to send military assets as the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi was unfolding, but never got an approval from the State Department — appearing to contradict testimony from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in 2013, when he said there was no time to get forces to the scene in Libya."

Why does it take a watchdog group looking at emails to find this out?

Why doesn’t anyone EVER talk about where Obama was that night and his role in this whole sordid affair as CIC? He’s the one that gives the orders to go or not go. When will he be questioned? Are they really that afraid of him. BO is the one that should be afraid after all the crap he has done.

On Sunday, Hillary said she was all screwed up at Benghazi because of “The fog of war”.

I guess there wasn’t any fog over at the Pentagon.

Somebody should hand Hillary a set of fog lights.

This should be headlined across the country.

There had to have been assets in Sigonella.
After all that is where they launched the Arab Spring thing from.

Sigonella, Sicily is closer to Benghazi than Tripoli:

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Aeroporto+di+Sigonella/@36.1232302,13.5049814,6z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x13115dcc10685735:0x41aa8a23493a6a4f

There is a whole US Naval Air Station there, with US Marines.

Did they have any fast movers there at the time? Looking at a map, I’m doing a rough estimate of 300 to 400 miles from the base to Benghazi, which could have been covered in about 30 minutes (conceivably less), to do some loud flyovers, maybe some strafing runs to scare the crap out of those vermin.

Just saw the figure of 475 miles. F-18 making 1100 MPH would be there in under 30 minutes. F-16 even faster.

“It’s called “Stand Down”...and it can only come from Obama.”

And it can only be obeyed by senior officers who are more worried about their next promotion rather than doing what is right. AmericaN soldiers used to do what was right.

This is something we knew at FR within a few days of the deaths.

We knew that they had been told to stand down and the archives should show it.

We talked about it and cried about it.

Years later it is getting press?
