Cruz is notorious for his history of being on the wrong side of immigration issues. As a nation, we are committing suicide by letting this continue. We need a full stop and regrouping to focus on those already here.
Ask yourself if Israel should grant all ‘Palestinians’ in other countries the right to emigrate to Israel. A nation should have its own borders and not be reprimanded for securing them by any method. We aren’t an unkind nation. We give billions in foreign aid and established trade to help people in their own countries already.
The notion we must have unlimited, unchecked, and rampant immigration is the path to national suicide.
In fact the US is an extremely kind nation... the trouble is that it often wastes its kindnesses in situations that it has every reason to know is a waste, the pearls have been dealt to the proverbial swine for decades and the trampling continues, but we tax ourselves to do it anyhow, without any discernment.
How is it unreasonable and worthy of condemnation for us to implement the same security policies that Israel does and which are quite effective? Israel definitely does not let in any Muslim who wants to come there. This idea that it is “politically incorrect” or essentially immoral to want to control our borders is why Trump has gotten as far as he has in this campaign.
