In addressing the nation Sunday evening, President Obama turned to a venue he doesn’t like to discuss a subject he would rather avoid. His decision to speak on the terrorist threat from the Oval Office, just days after the deadly attack in San Bernardino, Calif., reflects a broad concern in the White House that the American people, distracted by the overheated cacophony of the campaign season, are not listening to him. Or at least they are not hearing what he has to say.

That speech was aimed at his Muslim brothers telling them ,”Don’t worry Bros, I’ve got your six. Nothing is going to happen to your movement as long as I’m around”.
No one with an ounce of common sense believes him, Hillary, the Democrat Party, the GOPe, or the media. Lies no longer carry any weight.
He dislikes the Oval Office because it is a symbol of America.
Even media outlets are ignoring him. I checked a couple of Indianapolis news sites this morning, and there isn't so much as a mention of last nights "historic" speech

Saw a pic of him in the Oval Office. The color scheme sure looks like something seen in a mosque. And the wallpaper above the chair rail looks to me like arabic writing.
No flag or red-white-blue visible.
I went into this article with my usual cynical distrust of WaPo reporters, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s actually pretty good *reporting* with little or no of the usual biased preachy analysis.
In an understated way it emphasizes just how out of touch and irrelevant the halfrican muslim in the White Hut really is.

Yep. He then spent more time talking about a mythical backlash, than what he will do to keep Americans safe.
He likes the podium in the oval office. That way he can have the teleprompter screen directly in front of the camera lens and he doesn’t have to ping-pong between the teleprompters on either side.
Usually, when someone “struggles” to be heard, it’s because no one is interested in the rantings and lies of a bullshit artist.

The media is pulling out the word “struggles” to try and bestow “victim hood” on the 1st Perp. There is nothing he could ever say, short of “I resign”, that would make me exert my remote control finger to even watch him, I don’t care which room in the white hut he broadcasts from.
And how can a president “struggle to be heard” with all of love and support of the national media, and the ability to commandeer the major networks at the snap of Valerie’s finger?
