I was discussing this - highly hypothetical and speculative - with friends on Facebook last night. The thing that jumps out at me about this evolving story is the role Tashfeen Malik, Syed Farouk's wife and co-assailant. Female jihadis are not unknown but they are not common and not the norm. Everything we know - or believe we know - about the attack is that Malik was not along for the ride in this massacre, either literally or figuratively. She was a full participant in the attack. Indeed, according to several reports, during the final shoot-out she was the one firing while Farouk drove.
Everything we know about Farouk is that until the last couple years he was an entirely unexceptional character - no sign of radicalism or really anything special. As I said, female jihadis are not common. Given what happened yesterday, it seems far more likely that Malik arrived in the US as a convinced jihadist rather than becoming one under Farouk's influence in the relatively short time she lived in the United States. Especially when you consider that the vast majority of women who come under the influence on jihadist extremism become supporters of male attackers rather than attackers themselves.
Put more simply, what are the odds that of all the women living in Saudi Arabia in 2013, Farouk would have began a relationship and married one of the very small subset of women who not only subscribed to radical jihadist politics but was one prepared to participate in what amounted to a suicide mission? I'd say those are long odds.
Indeed this morning we have the first reports that either just before or just after the attacks, Malik made a pledge to ISIS leader al-Baghdadi on social media. The following is not news or reporting. It is caveated speculation based on the shreds of evidence we now have: but it seems likely to me that she was the channel of radicalization for her husband or at least the catalyst maintaining it from initial interest to its final, bloody crescendo on Wednesday. Indeed, I'm curious whether, having reached out to radical elements abroad, Farouk wasn't matched together with Malik either to keep him on his track of radicalization or to get her into the United States or perhaps both.
This is critical, because if PROVEN true, Obama's attempt to flood the USA with muslim immigrants from Syria, Iraq, etc. will go down in flames. Even Democrats will run from his claims that Homeland Security, FBI, etc can safely vet all these so called 'reugees'.
Obama and his minions have to be scrambling to cover up this potential death blow to his plans.
Importing all of these “refugees†is Obama’s final solution. He is not going to give it up.
Well, it would have been highly un-islamic for her to drive. She could have got in a lot of trouble that way.

Pictures of her are all over the place. She and Farook at some affair. She is dressed in an Indian-style sari.
A recent visa shot should be readily available. It is being withheld.

Well in 2012, my tin foil hat was on pretty tightly & I told my family there won’t be an election in 2016. Pretty sure my mother thought I lost my mind....now, she’s not so sure I was off my rocker.
Just leave out the Islam part and calling him a “radical” puts him in the same category as small government enthusiasts, 2nd amendment advocates & devout christians.
Very handy for PR purposes when the government rails against its critics.

Pretty sure that is his brother and his wife. Some confusion with pictures because his brother is also named Syed but have different middle names. Have you seen another picture of her?
He doesn't give a $&%@. He is living in La La Land with his pen, and the Obama/Jarrett Administration is full-steam ahead in changing the demography and electoral future of this country, come hell or high-water.
That sounds reasonable to me. Of course for the plant to grow, the soil has to be ready for it, and it seems that this was the right kind of social misfit, loner, religious nut loser to be receptive to the idea.
Please do not get caught up with the meme that women are less violent, more peaceful, above ego and ideology.
Remember this:
Every Jihadi was raised by a mother that loved him and thought he was wonderful...AND RAISED HIM TO BE A GOOD MUSLIM BOY.
And female Jihadis are not that rare. They prefer suicide/homicide vests rather than guns. Recently, a woman was caught on camera stabbing an Israeli border guard.
They are every bit a part of Jihad as the men, even if the majority of them are mainly in support roles.
