Donald Trump, speaking to the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC), repeatedly said that Jews won't vote for him because, since he isn't accepting donations, they will not be able to control him with their money.
“You are not going to support me even though you know I am the best thing that could happen for Israel. I know why you are not going to support me. You’re not going to support me because I don’t want your money,” Trump told a full auditorium of Jewish donors and Republican Jewish supporters. “You want to control your own politicians.”
This plays into anti-Semitic claims that Jews control the country with their money. Has he said this to any other group? Has he told evangelicals that they won't vote for him because they can't control him with their donations? No. Only the Jews.
It is totally bizarre that he would say something so offensive to Jewish voters. Furthermore, why would he ever tell any group of voters that they are not going to vote for him? If that's true, why did he even speak to them? It's a defeatist attitude.
I don't believe, on the basis of this alone, that Donald Trump is an anti-Semite, but these statements put his judgement into question.
Furthermore, he displayed stunning ignorance of what is going on in Israel. He said that once he is president, he is optimistic that with his deal-making skills he can bring peace between the Israelis and Palestinians in six months, or perhaps less, if both are "committted" to peace.

If this is true then Ted has done a 180 which makes me even more suspicious. Then there's the Goldman Sachs partner wife issue too.No worries here, the justification for his stance is right at the beginning of the long section about the H-1B program in the very detailed (11-page, single spaced) Cruz Immigration Plan (small excerpt below). It's no mystery why Jeff Sessions and Ted are now working together to permanently reform the program.

The other major contributors represent fracking energy interests and Christian outreach groups. David Barton is the new Director of the SuperPAC. Barton is an evangelical Christian author, historian and founder of Wallbuilders. I've heard him speak on several occasions and he is a terrific educator on the Christian roots of America.

Whatever trump knows or doesn’t know, what he SAID was objectively anti-semitic.
However I take issue with the idea that trump is so damned omniscient. He makes mistakes. Four large bankruptcies and many other business failures prove that.

Not so much special as being accepted. They feel they can let their hair down around you.
Also when a non-Jew marries into a Jewish family he gets to hear Jewish jokes that rag on Jews and ones that don’t. Jews (guys) also like to tell anti-Semitic jokes among ourselves. Not going overboard on it but kinda testing the waters. I think most ethnic groups are like this except wacked out Muslims.
With all the Jewish comedians out there and all the Jews writing jokes for TV shows....this means Jews have a sense of humor. Meaning we also are blessed with (?lol?) lots of bush league comedians who are liable to say anything when only Jews are around

Trump should not allow himself to be perceived as too pro-Israel. From comments I read at various right wing sites there are plenty of Trump voting people who are not so Israel friendly, who just want us to be out of the Middle East. Many think Israel has drawn us into wars there. Why antagonize them, getting them to sit out the 2016 election, by tilting too pro-Israel? I am sure Trump will be a good friend of Israel but first he has to get elected so Trumps answer on our Jerusalem embassy is what I like to see. (I am Jewish)

The Jews and everyone else need to get over it Trump will let you know what he thinks. He doesn’t give a damn what you think about what he said. There is no finger in wind to test the public opinion before he speaks. I find it refreshing and I don’t find what he said that outrageous. It is as good an analysis as as any other as to why Jews keep shooting themselves in the foot by supporting liberals. It is one thing for blacks to get sucked into the plantation mentality, but Jews don’t need free stuff and hand outs, yet there they are in every election cycle sucking up to and supporting liberals. Go figure.
