Yet he had been in contact with multiple people involved with terrorism on the phone and via social media. The mistrust and hatred is part of the Islamic culture and there's no way to tell if any particular Muslim has embraced this part of the culture or not.
All cultures are not equal. Islamic culture is barbaric, misogynistic, angst-ridden, control-oriented, secretive, paranoid and hierarchical. It may work for them in their own lands in some limited, well defined cases, but it just doesn't mesh with western civilization.
