Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) made his pitch to Jewish leaders Thursday in Washington, vowing that if he’s elected president, he’ll undo the Iran nuclear deal.
“ We need to nominate a candidate who has the clarity to stand up and say: If you vote for Hillary Clinton, you are voting for the Ayatollah Khamenei to have nuclear weapons,†Cruz said when wrapping up his speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition. “ And if you vote for me, Iran will never have nuclear weapons.â€
In a tailored version of his stump speech, Cruz vowed to “ rip to shreds †the deal with Iran on its nuclear program, forged by the Obama administration. The U.S. needs a leader who will say to Iran, “ either you will stop your nuclear weapons program, or we will stop it for you, †Cruz said. He also vowed to move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
The crowd cheered and at some points gave Cruz standing ovations. At the end of his speech, he mapped out his planned strategy for winning a general election against the current Democratic front-runner.
There is no confusion where Ted Cruz stands with Israel. No double talk, no straddling of sides. This is why Netanyahu stands with Ted Cruz.
Better he tells them he supports abortion up to the point of birth if he wants their vote. And he still won’t get it.
Pointless pandering, it seems to me. The Iran nuke deal was never about nukes, it was always a fig leaf to cover giving Iran their billions in frozen assets. Nothing short of an Iranian revolution or nuclear war is going to stop Iran from getting nukes.
You can not promise that they never will have them. The rest of the world will not run at your beck and call. And the Islamic Bomb is already out there.

Cruz said they would not get a nuclear weapon and he means it - if he has to, he will bomb those facilities to shreds even if it takes a nuclear bomb to do it. Rather have the facilities and them turned to dust than us and that will happen if they get that bomb - it is them or us at that time.
Is Cruz competing for the panderer-in-chief?! What ridiculous statement to make and one that no one can believe. Will he go to war to stop a nuclear Iran? Is he really saying that if Iran shows a nuclear weapon he will attack them? While I think a nuclear Iran is bad—don’t get me wrong—pandering to the Israels is stupid for American politics and even stupider to say that he will attack Iran. Ties his hands a bit don’t you think? And when/if he doesn’t attack, zero credibility.
It wouldn’t take nukes to take out Iran’s weapon and research sites. WE might have to be creative and use things like ICBMs with solid warheads, but no nukes are needed.
