College presidents across the nation apparently need a Parenting 101 class, because they're capitulating to protesting students like frustrated mothers handing tantrum-throwing children a lollipop to shut them up.
The College Fix has rounded up the most egregious examples from the last month, which show that those who lead America's institutions of higher learning are letting the students in their charge call the shots.

The more I read about university administrators/presidents, the more I truly believe they were not given a pair at birth and they have a spine made of cooked noodles, all wiggly and soft. What kind of money are the parents of these students paying for the student’s non education? How much are they paying the administrators and presidents? By golly, I’d pull my kid out of there and demand the rest of my money back.
It’s time to bring back paddles at our schools. A good swat on the ass will straighten these little crybabies out. It’s too bad their “parents” were too afraid to do it before they turned them loose on the world.
Sounds like the 60’s repeating.
A few years ago, some whiners at Occidental College insisted that Coons Road, a street on campus named for the school’s former president, the noted scholar Arthur G. Coons, was a “racist” name. Without further ado, the administration caved and renamed the street “AGC Road.”
In the '60's, we had some tough-minded administrators such as Sam Hayakawa, who stood up to the protesters at San Francisco State. I don't see any Sam Hayakawas today.
Add David Boren at Oklahoma University.

Alabama is adding some sort of diversity position. I don’t know what else they are doing.
And the article doesn’t even touch on those who over the years showed similar cowardice and poor judgment in giving in to the adolescent-macho demands of their pampered wards - such as whoever was president at the University of Pennsylvania forty years ago or so when a black contingent at the school didn’t like something that was printed in the student newspaper, the “Daily Pennsylvanian”, and destroyed every copy they could find rather than let others read what they disapproved of - there was never any punishment or even admonition rendered to those involved - small wonder such behavior has mushroomed to where it is today...
Appeasing wimps.
Must be an agonizing decision. Do I act like an adult and a leader or do I try to look cool and maybe get some coed action? Easy call for most of them.
It's a pussy profession.
