Is it not true that Kaposi’s Sarcoma (the “gay cancer”) that started the whole panic, was taken off the list of “AIDS Related Diseases” awhile back? That it was quietly conceded that Duesberg was right and it was caused by the rampant consumption of “poppers” in the bathhouse community?
Correct Forgotten Amendments. Kaposi’s, to my admittedly dated knowledge, never occurred among African “victims”, who were counted as having died of aids. Aids is, by definition, immune deficiency. Its victims die of one or more of about twenty one different diseases. Someone can die of one or more of those diseases, but unless they also carry the antibody for HIV they presumable aren’t counted as having died of AIDS. Africans hardly ever perform the antibody test, but then, who’s counting? Bigger numbers justify bigger investment, usually through the cess pool of UN agencies, and usually originating from U.S. taxpayers.
Some of my favorite people destroyed their immune systems, usually by using drugs. Gay men, those living the fast track life of clubs and bathhouses at night and jobs during the daytime have ridiculous rates of hepatitis infection and venereal disease. Social infection is so common that they self-medicate. It is no secret that antibiotics can weaken and eventually destroy the human immune system. IV drug users are also vulnerable, passing around other diseases for which antibiotics are the usual treatment. The Center for Disease Control offered just this explanation before Gallo borrowed Montagnier’s retrovirus and, just before the announcement, filed a patent for the Eliza test for HIV.
Was it a conspiracy? What it did do was keep thousands of biochemists working on a viral mechanism that is causal in cancer employed in their laboratories. Their funding was running out in the mid to late 1980s as solutions evaded them. These were the very same labs that developed AZT as a potential chemotherapeutic for cancer. It was almost certainly AZT that killed Kimberly Bergalis and Arthur Ashe, and crippled the children of thousands of drug addicted pregnant women forced to take AZT cocktails, presumably to prevent their babies from being born with AIDS. The deformed children are exactly what would be expected, but HIV was never provably a cause of AIDS. These babies were destroyed by ignorance.
The best informed lay community I’ve come across was the Act Up group dominating Deusberg’s book opening. I attended that opening expecting to be one of a few straight people, and from the presumably sane scientific community. From what I’d read in the newspapers I expected a loud and angry contingent from the gay community, and I was exactly wrong. I came to be present and attest, having read many of the early scientific papers addressing HIV, to Duesberg’s integrity and pursuit of truth, even at the expense of his NSF founding, heroic. The Act Up group asking him questions sounded like a graduate biochemistry research colloquium. I listened, amazed to hear the respect and even adoration of this group, known better for outrageous parades, for Duesberg, a terse and sometime sarcastic scientist who is anything but politically correct. Of course it was their lives at stake, and they were asking questions from having read the latest published scientific papers. Many of the Act UP audience were with partners whose lives they openly credited Duesberg with having saved. I got the impression that many of them had personally gone to see him, though I did not try to confirm this. They said as much when they asked their questions, one after another, thanking him for their living, and now healthy partner’s survival.
Several from Act Up were convinced that AIDS was a conspiracy by big pharmaceutical companies. They had a folding table with pamphlets describing their battles with the CDC and various government-funded AIDS agencies. Following the announcements for over twenty years, often several each month, of the next great “HIV/AIDS cure, it is sad that our politicized science community has actually interfered with science such as proposed by Duesberg and others, based upon the skepticism that good science requires. As any good scientist he described and submitted proposals to test the HIV hypothesis, testing that was skipped when the CDC made its premature public announcement. After that announcement it was politically incorrect to question its validity, and no government bureaucrat would dare approve funds for such research.
Knowing some involved in HIV research, I’m more inclined to regard many industrial biochemists, particularly those being very generously compensated for following the “correct” doctrine, after the example of Lysenko, as especially narrowly focused. Narrow focus can be a quality. But it can cloud discovery. The narrowly focused scientist resembles field grade military and senior intelligence officers in our country who have never heard of the OIC, the largest body of nations after the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation which is now better known as the new Caliphate, and to which many in our government are beholden through their support for The Muslim Brotherhood. HIV is now a very big business, as is global warming, and both are myths based upon the presumed ignorance of the proletariat.

Spaulding, I haven't checked yet but isn't this information important enough for its own thread? Imagine a candidate speaking out about the fear tactics of big pharma which also keeps our military and vets with PTS drugged to the hilt through the VA?

Magic Johnson is FINALLY setting the record straight about his battle with HIV — revealing he is NOT cured, he’s NOT taking special medication ... and he’s definitely not seeing any Kenyan witch doctors.
The Lakers legend went on HipHopNation on Sirius XM radio today, and talked about the myths surrounding his treatment, telling Renada Romain ... “I do have it and have had it for 22 years, it’s just laying asleep in my body.”
Magic also says he’s not winning his battle because of his enormous wealth ... saying he only has access to the same 30 something drugs everyone else does, and explained he’s taking a cocktail of 3 of them.
MJ was recognizing National Black HIV/AIDS awareness, and the Hall of Famer made sure to clear up the biggest myth — that just because he’s survived this long, everyone can.

[Duesberg needs to be proven. I hope he’s right and can lead to other cures. Many wonderful people I know passed away in the 80’s.]
