I don’t believe that anyone with any sense is disputing that there were pockets of people celebrating the falling of the towers. It would be silly to think they weren’t.
But that’s not Trump’s claim: “And I watched in Jersey City, N.J., where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building was coming down.”
Guiliani likely has it right - Trump was exaggerating, something that rings quite true.

I watched the interview. Guiliani made it clear he wasn’t sure about the numbers in NJ.
At least, he cleared up my hazy memory that muslims, indeed, celebrated in Bk’lyn & Queens.
Wasn’t he buried under a building at the time and had to escape? How did he know what was happening in Jersey?
