The other day I was talking to an acquaintance of mine at the gun range about the Paris terrorist attacks. What he surmised was the root cause of that senseless slaughter by Islamic radicals nearly made me drop my Sig Sauer on the range floor.
The Texan told me that he believes Islam wouldn’t be killing innocent peeps as they ate their dinner or enjoyed a death metal concert or watched a soccer game if said nutters had more “job opportunitiesâ€.
What he said was shocking to me because of two primary things:
1). A frickin’ Texan said that crap.
2). Someone really thinks if Ahmed was a barista at a Starbucks in Babbila that alone would make someone stoked on the 7th century murderous ramblings of a pedophile who believed God personally talked to him chill out regarding ill-will towards us “infidelsâ€.
I think not.

1) not all cultures are equal; some are irredeemably barbaric, violent and primitive
2) not all religions are alike
3) some people are determined to kill us even though we've made it clear we want to be their friends
4) not all problems can be solved with another government program
Their entire world view, not to mention political perspective, completely collapses.
So look for them to continue to blame christians/republicans/conservatives/white people/western patriarchy even as their heads are being sawed off.

There are plenty of liberal nutjobs here in Texas. Just go to Austin. My son went to Rice, and he came out well indoctrinated, to our surprise. Guess that’s why they call it the Harvard of the South. He and his wife are finally coming out of it (I hope).

In a war with Islam, yes. At war with Islam, no. Other than occasional responses to attacks, we are NOT fighting Islam.
