Over half of the statehouses are controlled by Republicans. Why aren’t Republican governors and state legislatures demanding accountability from administrators, professors and staff at state funded colleges and universities. They have the ability to fire state employees.

"Over half of the statehouses are controlled by Republicans. We had 2 Conservatives run here in MI to get on the Board of U of M, I know one got on I am not sure if the other one did. That seems to be the place to begin to bring sanity to these failing ( IMHO ) institutions. Now where is the freakin' RNC on this? Why aren't they looking for candidates to fill these slots? Is that crickets I hear?.....

Quotes by This Author
âThe argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can âthrow the rascals outâ at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policyâ (Georgetown University Professor Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope, 1966.)

Why aren't Republican governors and state legislatures demanding accountability from administrators, professors and staff at state funded colleges and universities. Because higher education is a sacred cow, and because it brings in wads of grant money (no where near as much as it spends).
