An obscene spectacle took place in North London on September 11, 2002. A thousand Muslims gathered at the Finsbury Park mosque to âcelebrateâ the bombing of the World Trade Center. The Metropolitan Police deployed a force 500-strong to protect the meeting, called âA Towering Day in History,â from disruption. A dozen or so menacing-looking men with kaffiyehs over their faces stood on the mosqueâs steps to prevent unfriendly journalists from entering.....

1000 moderates?
Don't think so.
Moderate muslims.
0 moderates. No such thing.
“Moderates’ are non-believers who may be Cultural Muslims at best, but don’t really believe in that garbage.
Anybody who has been caught in Trafalgar Square during some pro-Muslim protest - as I was in 2009 - will never forget it. Radical muslims are capable of almost anything. I scurried past thinking it was the end of the world.
My memory is that, indeed, there were celebrations at least in Bk’lyn on 9/11. Trump remembers Jersey. Bringing out the current police head of Jersey City does nothing to convince me he knows what was happened on 9/11. I think he has been silenced to protect the guilty.
Sure, they were peacefully celebrating 9/11...
You care to expand and spin us a yarn? lol
Why did you think it was the end of the world? I can only imagine what you saw there.
Well, unless you’ve been caught up in swarms of enraged muslim men and burka’ed women, it’s probably hard to comprehend. They are an irrational people and rage is an emotion they don’t repress in public or private. (Don’t ask me about my muslim neighbor when I was a student in London!) The protest must have started in Leicester Square, because I have a firm memory of an out-of-control muslim woman screaming and keening underneath the statue of Edith Cavell. I just retreated entirely from the scene - my repressed Irish-American nature couldn’t deal with it.
Trump didn’t see this one either I guess.
Hope you read this. They were celebrating the destruction of the towers, not grieving for them.
Also to note there were people questioned by the police for celebrating on the roof tops during 9/11 in tail-gate style fashion. I guess you’ve yet to see that one by the WashingtonPost 2001.
I can relate to that (not just rage): An arab muslim family moved into a house a few doors down from me. A couple of days later, as I was working on my car in front of my house, another arab muslim family arrived outside their house and an almightly racket started up. The women wailing the men shouting and the kids screaming. I was afraid that something serious was ‘kicking off’ - from the noise I assumed a murder or something - and not wanting to be anyway involved I retreated indoors. After 20 minutes or so the disturbance got less so I took a peek - it was then that I realised this was simply how they greet relatives!
Lies! All lies!, say liberals.
You can never tell if they’re happy or sad. For many years I lived next to a Muslim Berber who had lived in France many years. He was a fine person and he always wanted me to know he wasn’t an Arab. He hated Arabs.
Reminded of the scene from Lawrence of Arabia with the Arab “Council” in Damascus. Doesn’t seem that Arabs have ever been a happy people. Must be the desert that has made them batty. I’m sure they will settle down once they take over Europe. ;)
