Donald Trump has company on the Iowa GOP presidential podium, as Sen. Ted Cruz has moved within the margin of error at the top of a new Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday.
The real estate magnate wins one-quarter of likely Republican caucus-goers, compared to the Texas senator's 23 percent. Ben Carson, the former neurosurgeon who edged Trump out for the lead in last month's Quinnipiac poll, sits in third with 18 percent while Sen. Marco Rubio rounds out the upper-tiers of candidates with 13 percent.
Rubio's support holds steady from Quinnipiac's October poll, while Cruz's has more than doubled from 10 percent in October.

A significant fall from the top four, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul wins 5 percent of the vote, followed by former Fla. Gov Jeb Bush's 4 percent and Carly Fiorina's 3 percent. Both Paul and Bush have negative favorability ratings in the state.

How big are the crowds in the Cruz rallies?
Trump seems to have one almost every day and they are thousands big, or bigger. Ten thousand and growing in Ohio.

Cruz says Trump is either liberal or unelectable, maybe both. It is a little confusing.
When did Ted Cruz say that ?
Excellent point!
Didn’t Trump have 14,000 last night in Ohio!
I doubt he said any such thing. Cruz has remained steadfast and not critiquing his opponents like that.
A more honest campaign slogan would be “Jeb! Slumps!”
Iowa gets a lot or press mainly because it is first in the nation.

Iowa has always chosen its presidential candidates using caucuses, but the caucuses didn’t
achieve the significance currently attributed to them until 1972, when the Democratic Party moved
the contest to the beginning of the year.
Since then, however, only three non-incumbent candidates who won Iowa have gone on to win the presidency.
Seven democrats in 10 caucuses who won in Iowa have ended up winning their party’s nomination,
according to the Des Moines Register. (Two were incumbents who ran unopposed.)
Six Republican winners in Iowa, out of nine contests there, have gone on to win the GOP nomination.

He has been calling himself the electable conservative. What does that make everyone else, such as Trump.
I believe so, they just keep on coming, Trump loves the Fire marshal because the venue was at max capacity, all of Trumps events are packed, not bussed in unless you want to possibly include the occasional placed protester.
Cruz is a good politician, problem is the very word politician is like sour milk.
I support Trump so well because he was never a politician.
Is JEB going to be seated at the little kids’ table at the next debate now that Bobby Jindal dropped out?
Being a protester at a Trump event gets you instant fame with the Marxist Media.
Pray America wakes
What does that make everyone else, such as Trump.
***************
Doesn’t make them unelectable only less conservative as Cruz views himself.
Bush is less conservative and less electable. What about Trump?
It also invigorates Americans to kick the living shit out of any arsehole acting like that elsewhere.
Makes America Great, kicking the bad guys!
I’ve watch liberals Quinnipiac for a very long time they are into slanting polls.
