So just how many Muslims are in the Australian Army?
If they are offended by the trappings of the Australian Army perhaps they should not be in the Australian Army.
Don't have the figures specifically for the Army, but in the Australian Defence Force as a whole (Army, Navy, and Air Force) 102 regulars, 40 reservists.
And as best I can find out none of them want this change. The couple I know are horrified by it - they fear it will create a backlash against them. They are loyal Australians who chose to defend their country and they value their freedom of religion, and don't want to see that of Christian soldiers limited.
They never asked for this Imam to be appointed as an advisor. They would like a Muslim Chaplain, but only one as loyal to Australia as they are.

And just as I thought Australian government officials had more common sense than ours in the U. S., and weren’t going for this PC crap! Who are we going to trust? Didn’t these people know there is a large army called ISIS in the ME they could join and then they wouldn’t have any complaints?
