Don't have the figures specifically for the Army, but in the Australian Defence Force as a whole (Army, Navy, and Air Force) 102 regulars, 40 reservists.
And as best I can find out none of them want this change. The couple I know are horrified by it - they fear it will create a backlash against them. They are loyal Australians who chose to defend their country and they value their freedom of religion, and don't want to see that of Christian soldiers limited.
They never asked for this Imam to be appointed as an advisor. They would like a Muslim Chaplain, but only one as loyal to Australia as they are.
The cowards are always at the top.

That’s reassuring. You don’t hear much of that today. Good for them. Hope they make their views known and a change is made.
