Let me guess. She hates men.

When I was young, there were no Legos. We had Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, and if you were the STEM-type, the go to toy was Erector sets.

i read the follow up articles. the school board responded to the public outrage by pretty much claiming it didn’t exactly, really happen, but if it did it was only for a short while, and what didn’t happen has now stopped.

I’ve seen data that more girls attend college than boys. Boys are more likely to have trouble in school. So here is this teacher discriminating showing us her goal isn’t to teach all children.
She needs to teach at an all girl school since she dislikes educating boys that much

So, she lies to the males while also crushing them. Quite an example that you have set, teacher.
Lesson learned by th boys; teachers lie.
This teacher is pure evil thinking she can mold children to her warped views. How about encouring all the kids and then just let them have fun.

Perhaps she needs to review the meaning of “unstructured.”
Lego or Tinkertoys was all the same enjoyment to me.

I don’t see a wedding ring. Guessing no man would have her so she hates men.

she doesn't know legos come in girl colors. Girls can make some great constructs from the girl brucksShe knows. She tried enticing them with "girl" sets but the girls still weren't interested. Rather than accept that fact, she kept trying to force Legos on the girls. The boys chose to use them, though, not at all concerned about the girlie colors. Her comment in the article was something to the effect that the boys "expanded their palates." Soooo apparently the boys are not remotely fixated on gender; just this pathetic excuse for a teacher is.

She's really doing her best to reinforce any stereotypical sentiments those young boys have about women.
Her experiment is guaranteed to backfire.

For those not familiar with the area, Bainbridge Island is across Puget Sound from Seattle Moscow-by-the-Sea.

Boys are more likely to have trouble in school. Well, if you're going to allow girls to get away with doing anything they want to the boys even to the point of committing violent crimes against them, and then punish the boys if they defend themselves, I guess that would be the case.

These types of people need to be totally KEPT AWAY FROM CHILDREN. They have no business there and I would hate to find out what they do to them when no one is looking.

Um, still confused. I did not post the piece & my only reply was to Mears & that was off topic & movie related. Please explain because your reply to me makes no sense. Or maybe I’m just not getting it. Thanks.
