Highlights Cruz’s challenge to President Obama to debate the Administration’s Syrian refugee plan
HOUSTON, Texas — Today, the Cruz for President campaign released a video highlighting Presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s challenge to President Obama for a debate on the Administration’s proposed plan to admit tens of thousands of Syrian Muslim refugees, who FBI Director James Comey acknowledged cannot be properly vetted, to the United States.
The challenge comes in response to President Obama referring to Cruz and millions of Americans who oppose the Administration’s plan as “offensive” and “un-American.”

In the video, Cruz responds:
“Mr. President. If you want to insult me, you can do it overseas, you can do it in Turkey, you can do it in foreign countries, but I would encourage you, Mr. President, come back and insult me to my face.
“Let’s have a debate on Syrian refugees right now, we can do it anywhere you want.”

I like Cruz but this is dumb. What sitting president would sit down to debate a presidential hopeful of the opposing party?

In my opinion regarding Obama, there is nothing left to debate. Negotiating his surrender or sentencing maybe. The time for debating this guy has long passed.

I’m afraid it does look like a stunt. It’s not going to happen.
What I like is that it calls Obama out and makes him accountable for what he said. It may be a stunt, but it is a challenge to that jerk. He needs to be challenged more by other politicians (Of course, besides Trump and Cruz) that ain’t going to happen.
Obama is not running. Ted is asking the wrong person to debate.

First, thank God!
Second, if Obama wants to use the bully pulpit to direct venom towards our candidates they should respond. He told him to put up or shut up. It won’t happen, but still a very appropriate response.
Third, what I would not pay to see this!
Okay, let me explain it to you. When the president of the United States uses an international bully pulpit to criticize his political "enemies" at home, instead of dealing with the world's enemies (and USA enemies), and constantly puts up straw men for his non-action which has caused the crisis at hand, it is time to challenge the playground bully to see if he can "handle the truth". You hear what I'm sayin'!
I saw that episode for real when it was first broadcast. LOL
Both Trump and Cruz prove the point, what does not kill me, makes me stronger.
