A Harwood resident is organizing a protest Friday urging Gov. Larry Hogan to reconsider a request to keep Syrian refugees out of Maryland.
A rally is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Lawyer’s Mall in Annapolis, according to a Facebook page that shows about 100 people interested in attending.
Jim Stricker, 22, said he organized the protest after he saw Hogan release a statement this week that requested no further settlements of Syrian refugees in Maryland until federal authorities can guarantee the program won’t pose a security threat.
"Following the terrorist attacks on Paris just four days ago, and after careful consideration, I am now requesting that federal authorities cease any additional settlements of refugees from Syria in Maryland until the U.S. government can provide appropriate assurances that refugees from Syria pose no threat to public safety," the Republican governor said in a statement Tuesday.

And make sure they are legally responsible for the ones they house.
After a month in Baltimore they’ll all pack-up and head back to Syria.
