Oh barf. Churchill showed the courage of his conviction through years spent in the political wilderness. How has Trump been tested? Ever? Where has Trump shown the kind of leadership that Churchill showed? Ever? Trump is a hope. Churchill was a known commodity.

A significant portion of our electorate seems to think that the ability to be glib or to flawlessly deliver a canned-speech from a telepromter constitutes the most important criterion to be president. Exhibits A & B... Bill Clinton & Barak Obama. Throw Reagan & JFK in there if you like.

Trump’s major drawback with that segment will be that he doesn’t measure up in the communication department. Now that may not matter. But in our Media-soaked world, it might be the only way a future president can survive once elected.
