Senators are calling on the Obama administration to halt the entry of Syrian refugees into the United States, with one lawmaker filing legislation on Monday that would stop the Obama administration from providing visas to citizens of any country deemed “a high risk of terrorism” by the Department of Homeland Security.

The legislation comes on the heels of a massive terrorist attack in France that killed upwards of 120 people and has led officials on both continents to express concern about the failure to properly vet foreign refugees, particularly ones from Syria.

Given the GOP-e's successful campaign at giving Obie anything he demands, I would not hold out any hope of this going anywhere. All Obumbler has too do is threaten a VETO and the GOP will quake in their boots and cave when they consider there is an election somewhere within a 18 month period in their future.

Not just Syrians, for heaven’s sake. After the adventures of the Tsarnov brothers, all of those carzy ‘stans should’ve been denied refugee status.

Where’s the fearful leader scarecrow Smidge McConnell on this issue? The harvest is in so he should be available from his field duties.

Apparently when asked about who, when and where, Obama told the governor's to go pound sand.

Apparently, on the feds will know where, how many, and who will be dropped off in each of the state but not State officials. Here is my theory: there will be a lot more than told and the vetting process will be a lot less through than promised. Essentially, we will be lied to.

As long as the congresscritters are willing to accept BRIBES this will go on. Madame Guillotine may be the only answer.

It seems to me that unless 60 senators agree, nothing comes out of the Senate. And, if an instruction to the President comes in the form of a law, he just vetoes it, and goes his merry way.

That means that you can’t instruct the President to do anything with less than 67 votes in the Senate, which isn’t going to happen.

Moreover, if he ignores such a law, there is little that can be done. Impeachment takes too much time, and is highly unlikely (Raisis!). A declaration of incompetence by his Cabinet is quicker, but just as unlikely. The guy is out of control, IMHO. The only limits on his behavior are his own assessment of his after-office opportunities and life-style.

Maybe immediately but not in the future. The time has ended with a politician can skate away into the sunset after their term and wash their hands of all responsibility.

Obama is creating a situation that might result in another 9/11. What is different is that we have foreknowledge of future events whereas prior to 9/11 we were inept and naïve. Plus, of course, we have the experience of 9/11 and the recent blood bath in Paris... and the dozens of failed attempts and a few successful attacks.

If Obama has bothers and sisters, they would look like these refugees. He will have to be dragged kicking and screaming with a veto proof majority to his senses on this issue if we are to get any relief.

Yes, that is the way the constitution works.

Within hours of the Boston Marathon blasts, US government officials, and Muslims, in Boston called each other to offer assistance......just in case THE MUZZIES suffered backlash or threats.

REFERENCE Federal outreach to Muslim American communities is a pillar of Obama counter-terrorism strategy

Within hours of the Boston Marathon blasts, government officials and Muslims in Boston called each other to offer assistance. These calls were the fruits of years of cultivating such relationships in an effort to ultimately prevent the very type of attack Boston experienced April 15....

Representatives from the US Departments of Justice and Homeland Security called to offer support to Muslim communities......just in case THEY suffered backlash or threats. (more on FR).

Boston bombing survivors are outraged that Tsarnaev family's trip from Chechnya to the US for the trial was paid for with their tax dollars. That's b/c the US govt mandates that struggling taxpayers foot the bill for these people to go back and forth between America and their "supposedly" hostile homelands on the taxpayers' dime.

Taxpayers footed the bills for the entire buck-sucking Tsarnaev's for a long, l-o-n-g time. When these immigrants get to the US they claim "asylum" b/c that triggers endless monthly Social Security checks ......that's just for starters.

=================================================

BACKSTORY Immediately after the Boston bombing, then-Democrat Mass Gov Deval Patrick ordered Massachusetts govt agencies to conceal welfare documents from taxpayers. But sources who saw 500 pages of welfare documents (requested by a state legislator) told News Center 5 that the entire Chechnyan immigrant Tsarnaev family collected upwards of $100,00 tax dollars free and clear. MA taxpayers financed the killing and maiming of their own friends and neighbors.

================================================

MASSACHUSETTS TAXPAYERS WERE UNKNOWINGLY FORCED TO FINANCE THE TSARNEV BROTHERS' DIRTY DEEDS BIGTIME ---After the Boston bombing, Massachusetts Democrat Gov Deval Patrick refused to divulge info WRT massive public assistance to the bomber killers/Chechen immigrants.

But state welfare officials were forced to come clean b/c the info is available to lawmakers. State Rep David Linsky called on the Mass Dept of Transitional Assistance to provide the info..... issuing an ultimatum, giving them 24 hours to provide the info.

The Boston Herald published the state's response: 'My office is working to fully comply with your request,' DTA interim commissioner Stacey Monahan wrote, saying they were only providing a summary 'given the great interest in this matter.'

Chechen immigrants--the bombers' parents----were eligible as legal, non-citizen residents who claimed "asylum" status and met the eligibility criteria for DTA, DTA interim commissioner Stacey Monahan said in a letter to David Linsky, Chairman of the Mass House Post Audit and Oversight Committee.

Multiple state agencies, on orders from Democrat Gov Patrick, refused to comment on the bomber brothers' welfare haul.

<><> WRT Tamerlan receiving UI benefits, Labor dept spokesman Kevin Franck refused to comment....

<><> Univ of Mass-- Dartmouth spokesman Robert Connolly refused to comment on the financial aid app of 19 -year-old soph Dzhokhar. 'It is our position - and I believe the accepted position in higher education - that student records including academic records and financial records (including financial aid) cannot under federal law be released without a student’s consent.'

<><> The FCC would not discuss whether the suspected bombers had govt-paid Obamaphones.

<><> Cambridge housing officials would not comment on if the brothers had Section 8 rental subsidy offered by the HUD to low income households.

<><> Chechen immigrants--the bombers' parents--were legal, non-citizen residents who claimed "asylum" status and met the eligibility criteria for endless SS checks.

<><> In sum, while planning the bombing, the Chechneyan immigrants received every conceivable tax-paid public benefit available out there.

As long as the congresscritters are willing to accept BRIBES this will go on.

Which is why all political donations should be ANONYMOUS. You can't "sell" influence if you don't know who is buying. A citizen or even a business should be allowed to donate as much as they wish to any party or candidate they choose; that's FREEDOM. But when it becomes "pay to play", it is bribery and a crime.

And all funds donated but not spent on a campaign should be confiscated and put to a reasonable use, like debt reduction for the municipality/county/state/country.

And term limits. TERM LIMITS, NOW AND FOREVER!

Paul Ryan's going to be the hero when a few of the Syrians turn out to be terrorists... AND THE ADMINISTRATION IS PROVED WRONG ONE MORE TIME.

PAUL RYAN WILL BE THE PERSON WHO STOPPED THE FLOOD... THE MAN WHO LIMITED THE DAMAGE OBAMA WAS ATTEMPTING TO INFLICT ON THE COUNTRY.

THE UNTIED STATES DID NOT TAKE IN 'REFUGEE GERMANS' DURING WORLD WAR II... BECAUSE WE WEREN'T PUFFED UP IDIOTS MORE WORRIED ABOUT 'HOW WE LOOKED' THAN HOW SAFE OUR COUNTRY WAS.

Pausing isn’t going to solve anything. A complete stoppage of new ones coming in and a clean sweep and deportation of all those already here and a secure border will help a little bit. Then there’s the question of all those coming in every hour on the hour at every airport and coast dock.
