France's defence minister said 10 warplanes were targeting Islamic State's Syrian stronghold of Raqqa for the third consecutive day on Tuesday and vowed that the campaign against the group would intensify in the coming days.
"At this moment, our air force ... 10 fighter jets are again hitting Raqqa, and as you know tomorrow the aircraft carrier Charles De Gaulle will leave for the eastern Mediterranean to continue strikes on specific targets in particular around Raqqa and Deir ez-Zour," Jean-Yves Le Drian told TF1 tv channel.

Why is there anything left to bomb? /sarcasm alert
I don’t much mind WHAT or WHO they hit in Raqqa.
Just make sure you’re in the city limits, boys, and Bombs Away!
Wow, the French actually kicking some ass!
Creating sand bunkers for the ISIS JV golf team. ;)
Night time strikes. Reminds me of Clintoon’s night time strike on a building in Baghdad so that he would only kill the night watchman and/or cleaning crew and not Saddam’s military guys.
Tee hee hee .. Indeed.
The sheople aren’t into details.. Nor is the media.

I would have preferred but one plane. One bomb. I think you know of what I speak....
Or simply, Nukem from orbit. (no planes)
“grand coalition with Russia”
No mention of any potential help from the US. That’s because there is none and because Obama has apparently become persona non grata.
You go, Francois!
Hollande’s biggest problem is not 2000 miles away in Syria. It is 10 miles away in the Paris suburbs. This from the Asia Times:
“A 2014 opinion poll found that ISIS had an approval rating in France (at 16%) almost as high as President Francois Hollande (at 18%). Muslims comprise about a tenth of Franceâs population, so the results imply that ISIS had the support of the overwhelming majority of French Muslims”.
Seems to me that rather than his political optics campaign of dropping bombs on the Syrian desert where as yet there are no reported casualties Hollande would have a much more target rich environment in the Parisian suburbs where the fox is in the henhouse..
