About 20 students and faculty gathered on Monday afternoon for the third and final Community Conversation of the semester.
The event, 'He Said, She Said, Ze Said,' was geared toward discussing personal pronoun usage in classroom and social settings.
The conversation began by showing a video that talked about respect, safety and resources for LGBTQ+ students on college campuses. A major focus of the video was transgender respect and safety in classroom settings.
'We just want you to advance in the direction that accommodates and addresses the needs of a changing demographic of students,' they said.
The Community Conversation also addressed ongoing issues facing the transgender community at the University. Some of the major ones are the lack of gender neutral restrooms on campus and gender identification in University registration.
Currently, the registration software at the University requires students to select either 'male' or 'female' when they register for classes and housing. This can pose problems to transgender students whose gender identity differs from their legal sex, or those who identify as non-binary: neither masculine or feminine.

What a colossal waste of time.
BWAHAHAHAHA KU just as f’ed up as Mizzou
“From the Bernie Sanders brainwashed cupcakes.”
Courtesy of taxpayers who make it all possible.
This is psychological warfare, or brainwashing. It’s completely unnecessary.
This seems to be a growing and proliferating form of lunacy; perhaps the CDC should look into it.
Yeah, let's bastardize our language to accommodate the less than 0.1% of people who don't know whether they are a "he" or a "she."
Regards,
What if a precious little snowflake is a he today, a she tomorrow, and a “ze” the next day? Will it be a hate crime or micro aggression if I get it wrong? It like those old Mounds/Almond Joy commercials. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t.
I’ve always thought that the gender-neutral pronoun was “it”. He, she, and it have been used for centuries along with the possessives his, hers, and its and the objective forms him, her, and it.
No kidding!
You got boobs? You're a "She".
No boobs? You're a "He".
Next question?
I do agree that the software needs to be changed. A third choice should be added:
( ) Female
( ) Male
( ) Disqualified for university attendance due to mental illness
THAT is the only change required. If you do not understand that 99.999999% of the time, a child is born either male or female, then you should be seeing a psychiatrist. The other 0.000001%, hermaphrodites, have physical disabilities that hopefully, a doctor can repair early on.

Go to Saudi Arabia. Petition the government to create a new personal pronoun to be used with trannies and/or homosexuals. Report back to me on the reaction.
“Personal” Pronoun???
If a pronoun is personal, it is mine to do with as I wish. He She Him Her It .... Call it(pun) as I see it.
Meanwhile, is a Transgender a ‘medical’ condition, or did it require any ‘medical’ treatment?
If so, that is private medical information, protected by HIPAA. And calling a male SHE because he is trans is a violation of HIPAA.
Sorry trans-folks, you can’t have it both ways (well, some of you do).
This will lead to finding a top-flight job in either the food service or housekeeping industries
More Lib nonsense.
A few centuries ago, the ‘English’ language has many more pronouns than it has now. Over time, excess pronouns were dropped from the language.
Now, the Libs want to add some more in — to make them feel good.
Thee can takest thou excess and crammeth it up thine’s arse.
Screw ze!
Unless you have man-boobs. Maybe we could go with penis - yes or no.
All that sex ed and it didn’t do a bit of good.
The use of the indefinite "they" conceals at least two strategies that serve someone's or some group's purposes.
The guilty parties are hidden in the crowd; also most certainly, also from the easily manipulated crowd. These are not civilization's greats we are dealing with here.
From my perspective, it also validates the age old accommodation between perversions (or psychopathy) and society : the proverbial closet. Let Pandora loose and the chain of horrible effects on culture and civilization is let loose.
Sane, healthy societies allow that only at their peril.
