Dallas police arrested a man on Saturday who allegedly abducted and killed a teen who was on her way to church.
Cops arrested Antonio Lamar Cochran, 34, after investigators matched his DNA with evidence found at the scene of 18-year-old Zoe Hastings' death.
Hastings disappeared on Oct. 11, and was found the morning after, lying in a pool of blood next to her wrecked minivan. Her parents reported her missing when she never showed up to a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints class that Sunday.
Witnesses said they saw Cochran speaking with Hastings at a Walgreens at about 4:40 p.m. on Oct. 11. The police stated she was at the Garland Road Walgreens to return a Redbox movie, and Cochran allegedly got into the car as Hastings moved into the passenger seat, according to witnesses.

I cannot believe this thug got to this girl. Maybe he told her he needed a ride. I don’t know how she didn’t jump out of that van at Walgreen’s. It might have saved her life.

Why did she let Cochran into her vehicle?
Interesting her family’s spokesperson is a black woman. That should save everyone grief by stopping the #BLM crowd. The filthy scum has a long rap sheet and was still out wandering the streets ready to pounce on an innocent girl. Judges should be held accountable for slaps on the wrists.

Why she didn’t jump out is beyond me. Perhaps he had a gun he had illegally-obtained?
I can’t imagine any other reason she didn’t jump out of the van and run into Walgreens. Or he talked her into giving him a “ride” somewhere.
You are probably correct. He had a gun, followed her to the vehicle and forced her to move to the passenger seat.
She should have never acknowledged him nor spoken to him in Walgreens. Some women can not pick up the clues about guys who are overly friendly.

even if they shoot you, you are better off being shot in a public place and possibly getting help than going with them to a private one where you will never leave guaranteed.

I saw a true crime show on TV within the past couple of days that was about a guy who carjacked young mothers picking up kids at day care centers.
He would take them AFTER the kids were in the car because he knew that they would be compliant to protect the kids.
Frightening.
