Why the Paris attacks could mark the beginning of the end for ISIS [Deluded Liberal Fantasy]
Washington Post ^ | 11/14/15 | Ana Swanson

The series of coordinated attacks that struck Paris Friday evening may represent a new era of expanded activity for the Islamic State. If the group's claims that it is responsible for the attacks are true, it would the first time the extremist group has carried out a major attack outside of the Middle East.

And, as such, the attack could spell the beginning of the end for the Islamic State, says William McCants, an expert on Islamic thought and jihadism.

According to McCants, who is a fellow at the Center for Middle East Policy and the author of the recent book "The ISIS Apocalypse," the attacks have galvanized support for a large-scale invasion of territory held by the Islamic State, especially in Syria. But even if that attack doesn't come soon, McCants said he is confident that, in the longer run, the Islamic State's government in Syria and Iraq will crumble.

This nonsense reads like the first reports I heard after the Iranian hostage situation begin. Jimmy Carter's administration was beating its chest like it was going to take on the terrorists, but they never did. Even though nothing was ever done by the Carter Administration, the press kept on saying that something big was coming.

The hostages were only released after Ronald Reagan took office, and that is what the terrorists were afraid of. Afraid that Ronald Reagan would take them and we know that he would have.

The fact is the terrorists knew who you were dealing with. They were not dealing with anyone who is really going to fight them. And that is exactly what the terrorists see in Europe and America right now, bunch of worthless leaders who will not do anything.

On the other hand, Israel has not really been messed with lately. At least not without retaliation. Netanyahu who knows how to deal with terrorists and that is why Israel is respected, though hated, among Muslim jihadists.

I hope it’s the beginning of the end of Americans paying attention to the drive-by media.

Well, Europe will have to put on their big boy pants, amass an army, and take care of business without us.

At least until we get a real president.

And I wish i would never see the word terrorist again. Terrorism is a tactic of war. that’s it.

Like I said before, it’s as silly as saying the war on tanks or the war on combined aerial and land assaults.

The war is between the west and the Middle East.

No more hiding for Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey etc.

If you are found transporting muslims to fight (Turkey) or supporting the fight (Qatar, Saudi Arabia) your country should burn.

This is exactly like merkel saying a few days ago that immigrants would be deported after 2 years.

They're bald-faced lies, intended to de-fuse the outrage if only for a few hours.

ISIS is Islam. They are following the example of their prophet and his instructions in their book.

Islam has been at war with everyone else since 622 A.D.

According to their book it must remain so until we are all dead or converted.

Or until there is no Islam.

Uh huh. What, are they going to dispatch the 101st Airborne Scolding Brigade? Fire off some Harshword missiles? Encircle the enemy's position and pout?

This administration gives new depth to the term "half measures."
