Sen. Ted Cruz is blasting rival Sen. Marco Rubio over his support for comprehensive immigration reform in 2013, in the latest salvo against the surging Florida Republican presidential candidate.
In an interview with conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, Cruz responded to Rubio’s tougher rhetoric on immigration in recent months, saying, “Talk is cheap. You know where someone is based on their actions.”
The swipe is just a preview for a coming Cruz-Rubio showdown as aides to the pair are increasingly convinced that they will be the final two candidates standing as the GOP race continues into the spring.
Cruz, along with other conservative senators opposed to immigration reform, introduced a series of amendments to require a completely secure border before provisions of the so-called Gang of Eight bill went into effect. The bipartisan group of lawmakers who crafted the bill, which included Rubio, united to vote down most amendments from either party, including Cruz’s.
“He opposed every single one of them—every single amendment,” Cruz said, noting Rubio did not vote for language that would have explicitly prevented those who entered the U.S. illegally to obtain welfare, prevented a path to citizenship from kicking in until the border was secure, and boosted funding for the Border Patrol.

It’s not the first Cruz attack on Rubio. In Tuesday’s GOP debate, the Texan criticized Rubio’s support for controversial subsidies for the sugar industry, which is a significant employer in Florida. “Sugar farmers farm on roughly 0.2 percent of the farmland in America and give 40 percent of the lobbying money. That sort of corporate welfare is why we’re bankrupting our kids and grandkids,” Cruz said.“I would end the subsidies to pay for defending this nation.”

We need a debate on the actual count of illegals. 10 is WAY too low.
Rubio sees the situation of working on the Amnesty bill in the Senate back in 2013 differently.

Ted is a supporter of legalizing people that are in this country illegally, Rubio said. In fact, when the Senate bill was proposed he proposed legalizing people that were here illegally, he proposed giving them work permits. Hes also supported a massive expansion of the green cards. Hes supported a massive expansion of the H 1B program, a 500% increase.
Rubio added: If you look at it, I dont think our positions are dramatically different.
we add 100,000 jobs in a month and the number of legals and illegals entering is 200,000 - how will we ever provide increasing job opportunities for the residents instead of a shrinking job opportunity??
Waiting for one of the prospects to bring this on - Trump and Cruz must have a hand on this and are waiting to spring it and push it.

I disagree because the next democrat president will simply allow them the ability to vote- knowing they will likely vote democrat
when We CLOSE THE D@MN BORDER, then we can cut off their welfare benefits and some of them will leave on their own.

They all should take a look at Mexico’s Immigration policy. In fact Freepers should become familiar with it and see how tough they are. If we copied their plan the amnesty crowd would howl. Here’s a link to a summary of it.

A few points from the article...
Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:
in the country legally;
have the means to sustain themselves economically;
not destined to be burdens on society;
of economic and social benefit to society;
of good character and have no criminal records;
and contributors to the general well-being of the nation.
Rubio will never be POTUS because of his embrace of the illegals. It is vital to hammer him over the head with this early and often. Suppress his numbers and keep them down.
