Ben Carson sarcastically thanked the mainstream media and several negative stories for a fundraising surge that brought in $3.5 million for the former neurosurgeon this week.
Moreover, many of those donations are small from a huge spectrum of donors who can give over and over again, unlike many of the "bundlers" who tap millionaires and billionaires for other other candidates. That is already making Carson's mailing list the stuff of legend among political professionals and rival campaigns.

Trump has accused Carson of looking sleepy. He didn’t look very sleepy yesterday. He took after the press with Trumpian vigor.
He predicted this at his press conference and he was right. It’s nice to work them for a change.
It’s good to see GOP has finally attracted some candidates what won’t follow the liberal media’s rules. I have no doubt the establishment is blind to how much this appeals to the base or the power to win that it brings. Their liberal friends at the beltway cocktail parties would never approve.
